So on Wednesday we leave Guadalajara for Monterrey. Pris happen to be booked on the same flight as us so we ended up meeting at airport. The flight between the cities is fairly short. I didn't know Mexico had so many mountains. Each city was surrounded by them. But Monterrey had the most. Pris was staying in town and we were staying out by the venue. We checked into our hotel and there was a bar next door. We went and ate there. Monterrey was more difficult for us, Not many people could speak English and my Spanish is limited to ordering booze and asking where the bathroom and footie stadium are. :laugh3: Do you really need to know more than that, I think not. :smug: We try and arrange a taxi for the show the next day. Getting there no problem, getting back huge problem. Before we leave I go to check my memory card's free space and accidently reformat it! Noooooooooooooo! Fuck fuck fuck! It has all my Guadalajara stuff. Not the mini pics as those cards are locked in safe at hotel. Last show day. The driver takes us there around 6 and tells us where he will pick us up after the show. We go in and C stage is area is empty but we can see a clear spot on the Ramp of Love. Well not clear, there are 3 security guys standing there talking and I go and ask them to please move and they do. It's a great spot because that's the place on the ramp where Chrissy does most of his drama flopping about. :laugh3: The crew comes out all dressed in their finest Mariachi gear. Steph Paul, Guy's bass tech Hoppy Matt Bash, who also had a fake mustache :sombrero: Nick who rocks the dreads Rick came out on the ramp and I called his name and he kinda freaked out. " how do you know me?" :uhoh: :p The show was very emotional for me. I had a dream I quit my job and did the whole tour. Who knows, it could happen. :D

Guadalajara was the only show I was brave enough to carry the mini to. Here it is checking out the main stage and the C stage

Not only was Kirsten sacred of the elevators but she was also scared of the toilet. :laugh3: It had a button on top that you push to flush and when you did it kinda kicked back. Ha she said she was going to have her fingers ripped off by it. :lol: We arranged a taxi to and from show and went down around 6pm. We decided on the C stage again as no one was there. I mean no one. Finally after BFL a few people started to gather around. We started telling them Coldplay would be coming right there to play. They didn't believe us. :lol: Now I don't know much about Mexico, but I do know Guadalajara is where the tequila comes from and the footie club there, Chivas has some crazy ass supports in Houston so I expected a crazy crowd. I started to get a bit worried when police wearing riot gear came out in the crowd. :uhoh: The crowd was off the hook crazy. They started doing this chanting/shouting competition between sections way before any of the bands took the stage. :D Dan Green came out to talk to me and said "oh this is going to be a great crowd" When Hoppy came to set up the C stage before BFL started, I tried to get a pic of him with the mini, but the lights went out before he could pose for me. Bless him, he didn't even ask. Hey Hoppy can you pose with this little car for me, Sure no problem just let me finish. :lol: The crown was total bonkers and when Chris started singing Parachutes I was in such shock I almost could speak! C stage time and here comes my BFF Jackie. :D she came and talked with me. She said something like "I've seen you for 2 years on this tour" or "It'll be 2 years before I see you again on tour" I hope it was the first and not the second. :\ After I had talked with Dan and Jackie and Hoppy the people around me started to ask who the hell I was and how did I know all these people? :lol: The band took to the C stage and it was LOUD! Guy couldn't stop smiling and we could barely hear the band over the crowd. At one point Chris saw me and gave me a goofy wave smile and the girl behind me freaked out "OMG, He knows you! " :stunned: (around 6:10 mark) and then at end of DWNC he threw me his harmonica! I was filming with my right hand and he threw it to my left hand I started to drop it and Kirsten, who was standing on my right, reached across me and grabbed it. I though for me but no, she kept it. I was more than a little shocked. I was rather upset. When the show was over I asked why she did that. She said he meant it for her. It's funny because before that show started we talked about the 2nd night in MC when Chris threw it to some girl and this guy snatched it from her and big bad ass Kelly swooped in and took it back for the girl. Well there would be no Kelly tonight and now I must push on because we have several more days together and another show. She never mentioned it and never even showed it to me. When we got back to the hotel, she went to bed and I got drunk. End of. When I go back to Mexico I will def visit Guadalajara.

OK so left Four Seasons around an hour after the band left. Our personal driver. Fab brought us to airport. :lol: We waited around and finally our gate was announced. Gate #69 :laugh3: I shit you not. Kirsten says what is the meaning of 69 and why do people always say things to me about my avi and JB's jersey. :laugh3: awww bless her little heart when I told her. :lol: The flight from Mexico City to Guadalajara is short. The cab ride to our hotel is not. And the driver thinks he in some kind of NASCAR/ demolition derby or something. :anxious: I hoping just to make it to hotel alive at this point. We are staying at the Fiesta Americana. It's 22 stories tall and has 4 glass elevators which freak Kirsten out. :P I think she may pass out everytime we get in one. On the first 8 or so floors, you see into the inner area where all the room are, but when I decide we should go up to floor 22 to take some pics and we get the full glass elevator effect of no hotel blocking the view she starts to turn a bit green. :sick2: We have eat at hotel and my chicken dish gets lost in translation when I try to order some potatoes with my chicken and they bring me rice. :confused: Anyway we crashed kinda early. The traveling takes it out of you and I'm still feeling altitude sick. Wake the next morning to this lovely sunrise. This fountain was right outside our hotel. I was surprised to see that Trainer Dan also chose that spot for his puppet pic. Is he taunting me since I told him FFS man, we want band pics, not puppet pics. :angry: The mini liked the views from way up high

Last day in Mexico City :(, March 8th Pris was finally convinced that the Four Seasons was Coldplay Wonderland and came to join us for breakfast. Finally Will came down. hehe See Pris I told you, Coldplay Wonderland. :laugh3: Pris had to leave to go check out from her hotel and we had to pack for Guadalajara so we left the cafe. On the way out Chris is coming out to join Phil. He passes us and says "hi guys" :wacky: We pack and go down to check out. The band are leaving at the same time. Chris is taking pics with guests and everyone is just standing about talking and stuff. So I am settling my bill same time as Miller. I told him thanks for Kelly and Kevin because he did get their thing signed and slipped it under their door. :D Then I'm just standing around and Mat Whitecross comes over to tell me good bye. :stunned: He said he was off to London and I told him to press for the DVD. :D Then Phil's parents came over to say good bye and ask if I had enjoyed the shows. Then Phil came over and told us Mexico City was his last night on the tour. :( He was staying there with his family for a holiday, then they were going to some beach for a rest. The band started loading into cars and then Franksie came back in to make sure everyone was gone from lobby. He had on his pimp hat and gave us a tip of the hat and they were off. I was so over whelmed by all this. The way people came up to me to tell me good bye, it was like I was a little part of their world for a few days. When you read about how nice they are and how they are like a big family believe it. This was the just the coolest thing ever. I knew where they would be staying in Guadalajara and Monterrey but I stayed some where different. It would maybe been a little weird to stay in all the same hotels. I do have some more Mexico stories to tell. Some drama, some ugliness and some excitement but nothing as good as Mexico City. Best 5 days ever!

A gain around 4 the band left for the venue. They signed stuff for the fans waiting out on the street. We were going much later to the 2nd show because we all hated that Mexican band and didn't care about seeing BFL that much. We decided on 8pm time. Kirsten and I went to get something to eat and Pris showed up and met us in the bar. I told her she had to come eat breakfast in the morning because of the Wonderlandness. :lol: We had some food and on way back to our room to get ready for show Phil's dad comes up to me and asks "Are you from Cleveland?" Ummm no sir, I'm from Houston. :uhoh: "Oh I thought I heard someone say you were from Ohio" No sir, I have traveled to Ohio to see them play before. Then he told us he used to live in Ohio for a while and then he left. Pris was like :stunned: OMG they've been talking about you! :stunned: :stunned: We got to concert driven by the fab Fab. :laugh3: Kelly and Kevin wanted to do some shopping at the bootleg booths so me, Kirsten and Pris went in and got us a spot in front of C Stage. Kelly and Kevin came just as BFL was ending and Kelly said there was a booth out there selling Coldplaying's Wembley butterfly shirt! They removed the London 2009 and replaced it with Mexico 2010. Ha Wait til Ian hears we've been bootlegged! While waiting around C stage I saw Marta. :hug: she said she wasn't woking this leg of the tour but missed everyone so much she traveled down just to visit. awwwwwwww. Then before the band arrived at C stage my BFF Jackie came to make sure everything was set. OMG her face lit up when she saw me. :D I got a big hug. Will saw us and we got a wave from him. :D After the show Fab raced us back to hotel, but bar was closing as we arrived. Coldplay was having a private party in the restaurant that night so no last call drinks for me. :\

OK so back in room. I have pics with everyone so now I can pretty much just relax. Kelly decides she needs to have her Chrissy pic on her phone like now dammit! :laugh3: And that makes Kirsten need her Guy and Will pic like now dammit! So we go to hotel's business center to use their computers to get the pics off my memory card and email them to their accounts. When we get there no one is working. So they all wait while I go down to ask at front desk for some help. When I get down to lobby area I see Chrissy walking around, then he's gone again. I ask about getting some help and start back toward elevator to go back to 3rd floor where everyone is waiting. When I come around corner, there also waiting on elevator is slipper wearing Will still on phone, Chris, his dad, Phil, Jonny, Trainer Dan, bodyguard Kelly and 2nd large body guard. Phil, Jonny and Dan are all wearing footie shirts and Dan is carrying bag with footballs and you can tell they just came from playing and Chris must have met them down stairs. Chris put his hands on his dad's shoulders and shook him asking him "how you feeling today dad" :blush: Kelly gave me a back the fuck up now death stare and 2 elevators opened at the same time, they all got on one and I got on the other. After we got pics off memory cards, Kelly and Kevin went to go check into their new hotel. We called Pris to come meet us for lunch before the show. I kept telling her to get her arse over there. She was riding with us to the show that night so she texted she would be over soon.

Oh forgot to mention, after the pics with Chris he was starting to leave and stopped and came back to tell me to tell Julie sorry about the lose of her daughter and best wishes to her and her family. He just such a sweetheart. :blush: Oh and when we saw Will on our floor, he was wearing shorts and the slippers that come with your room. Slipper Will is hot! :whip: Any way back to the story. This just keeps going so if you need to pee or something for heavens sake go do it. :lol:

Day 3 in Coldplay Wonderland , March 7 Breakfast as usual. Guy down first, only today he is wearing shorts and tank top with his raybans on. :cool: Kelly and Kevin sat inside this day. Kelly comes out to tell us there is space inside if we want to join them, we say we'll stick with the outside view. :sneaky: Trainer Dan joins Guy. Then Jonny and family, who sit inside near Kelly. Then Will. Then Chris' dad and Phil's parents. Finally Phil always last. Every morning same thing You can set a watch by it. Guy at 9, Jon at 10, Will at 11 and Phil at noon. :laugh3: Kelly and Kevin have to change hotels this day. The Four Seasons wanted $500 USD for the extra night, they said no thanks. We go to our room so they can stash their stuff until they can check into their new hotel a few blocks away. We are having a few drinks in room and deciding on time to go to show that night and Pris will be joining us so we will need bigger car and need to check with Fab when all of the sudden Kirsten freaks out and says Will is outside our window! :stunned: Well we are on 5th floor, is he part of the window washing crew? :laugh3: No he's in a room around the corner from ours and his head is poking out the window watching the window washers or something. :lol: Then Kevin goes to look and sees Christopher down in cafe! Oh shit! We gotta get down there! :lol: Poor Chrissy, as soon as he gets out there people swam him. :\ I now see why he stays hidden. Hotel sends 3 security people out to protect him. After that first night, no security has been around. And what ever big wig was on our floor has left and the guards have gone with them ans well as the metal detector and bag searches. We decide we will wait til he's finished and then run to elevator and catch him as he goes back to his room. Kids are jumping over bushes to get to him. No wonder the poor child is so skinny, how can he enjoy a meal with all this shit. :angry: So when he starts to leave we run down to catch elevator. There standing on our floor next to elevator talking on his cell phone is Will! :stunned: Gah! Damn you can't throw a stick around here without hitting someone form Coldplay. :lol: So we head down and no Chrissy yet. We wait near elevator because the hotel only has one set so he has to come this way. Kevin takes a peek outside and says he's signing stuff for those kids and so we go out and join them. So Chrissy is still hiding out. I declare I will track him down! :P We have some lunch and to discuss plan for the show that night. Kelly says Guy has been hanging out at pool all day. We asked hotel about arranging a driver to bring us to shows. Then we decide what time we should leave and stuff like that. Queue all day to see a show that I have seen 16 times already or stay at hotel and catch the Coldplay Wonderland show....not even a contest! We decide on going to show around 6pm. While there Jonny and Chloe bring Violet down so she can run and play. awwwwwwwwww Come to find out that man who spoke to me earlier was non other that Phil's dad. His parents, along with Chris' Dad, are traveling with them. So the band come down to lobby around 4pm to assemble for trip to venue. I spoke to trainer Dan and told him we want real band pics and not puppet pics, he didn't look amused. :dozey: Before they leave they pop out to street and sign stuff for the fans. Chris was there but I didn't feel right going out to street taking time away from the people that stood out there all day when I am in the hotel seeing them all the time, so I will have to wait to get my Chrissy pic. Off goes their motorcade. The driver we hired to transport us to the show fookin rocked! Fabritzo. He took us both nights and was just awesome! The show was great. Shiver sounded great. Fab got us back to hotel in record time, before the bar closed. :D We walk into lobby and there sits Phil, Jonny, Chloe, and Guy. Bodyguard Kelly was out in drive way organizing cars and you could tell they were going out after the show. Phil asked us if we had a good time at the show. We said yeah. :D We walk out to bar and Trainer Dan, Franksie and Debs are there as well. There was some other man there with them but I didn't know him. Bar is closing in 10 minutes and the dude tells us we can order but it's last call. So I of course order shots. Not just my normal 3 shots of tequila, but I want a double order since I only get 1 round of drinks. :laugh3: I ask tehm if they would like a shot and Franksie declines. The man with them is amused by my choice and we have brief tequila discussion. The bar man pours my drinks but not into shot glasses as usual. He puts 2 shots of each tequila into a brandy snifter! :laugh3: This cracks Franksie up for some reason and then the bar guy gets the giggles. No one will drink tequila with me, they are all having wine or beer. Pathetic! :dozey: Anyway I think no one thought I could do all 6 shots in like 10 minutes but I proved them wrong. :drunkjoe: Ha! The bar was closing and they all left to go out. We went back to room and Kirsten fell out the bed after 2 glasses of wine. :laugh3: I would say day #2 was pretty awesome.

OK so after breakfast we go back to room. The hotel is having all the windows washed that weekend so we are watching the guys do the washing. They sit on these swings and hang off the side of the building. It's kinda cool. Remember how I said we could see down into the cafe area, well who should we see down there but Mr Harvey himself. :D We go down and hang around just inside the door way waiting for him to finish and leave. :sneaky: He starts to walk out and stops to talk to someone. It's Mat Whitecross. :wacky: He comes up and remembers Kirstan and stops to talk with us. :dance: Mat stops but has to run off before I can get his pic with the mini. That boy is always running off. :angry: Anyway Phil talks with us and I beg and plead for the DVD. :D I told him if all they wanted was archival footage Miller could shoot that, why bring in Mat if you're not going to release! :angry: He says he has to go meet his parents but poses for a pic. He was wearing shorts and looking FINE! After I took the pic an older gentleman came up to me and asked if I was getting some nice pics. Hmmmmmmmmmm I wonder who he might be? :thinking: :sneaky:

Saturday, March 6th We get up and get dressed and what not when Kelly texts me saying Guy is down eating breakfast. Well then we should get our asses down there then shouldn't we. :sneaky: We head down and sure enough there is Mr Berryman sitting a table or so away from Kelly and with him is Trainer Dan. We sit with Kelly and proceed to eat. They have they incredible buffet and after fixing my plate I go back to table. Miller and Dan Green come down and sit at table next to us. Dan recognizes me and says hey. :wacky: Then here comes Jonny, Chloe and Violet. OMG it's getting very Coldplayeee down here! :dizzy: Jonny and family sit inside because it's kinda cold outside for the baby. OMG she's so cute! She looks exactly like Jonny. :nice: she has his eyes and is always laughing and smiling and you know how in the DVD when runs up the mountain kinda like a spaz, she has the same run! Jonny and Chloe take turns eating and the other chases her about in the garden. It's just the cutest thing ever! Then here come Will. :cool: He stops at our table to say Hi! :stunned: I ask if he's going to the JP Trophey final at Wembley and he says yes and we discuss Saints chances against Carlisle vs what our chances would have been agains Leeds. Then Chris' dad comes and sits with a couple just near us. Breakfast Coldplay overload! :stunned: I decide that I won't ask for anything else from them . Once I get someone's pic with the mini,. that's it. No more pics, no asking them to sign stuff. Just sit and watch. It pays off because since we don't bother them, they are more than happy to let us just hang about with them. Breakfast turns out to be like this every day! First Guy, then Jonny, then Will every morning that we are there. Coldplay Wonderland I tells ya!

OK so that was day #1 in Coldplay Wonderland as we started to call it. I'll say Coldplay Wonderland so kicks Disneyland's ass!

Now I am absolutely cuffed! I feel so victorious! :laugh3: I take Kelly's pic with the Mini We sit and talk about how lucky we have been that night and were going to leave but decide on one last round of drinks. Now where is Sebastian? So I've just finished my 10th shot of tequila of the evening and we are getting ready to ask for bill when down strolls Jonny and Chloe! And of course they sit and at the same frickin table! OMG it's like the lucky Coldplay table. :lol: They ordered drinks. Jonny gets up to go to bathroom and bends over to tell Chloe something and I see the top of his butt and almost scream! :o He goes to bathroom and Kelly tells Kevin to floow him and tell him we want to talk to him. :laugh3: Kevin says, I don't think so! :dozey: I tell him forget that, follow him and have a look for me. :wink3: He says no! :angry: I say even better take my camera and get me a pic. :sneaky: He says NO!
