  7. I'm sure this has already been said too, but I loooooove when Chris is talking about the disparity between writing some of those songs in the height of loneliness and then having a crowd of 20,000 singing those same songs along with him. Pure happiness
  8. Ian I can still clearly remember looking down the barrier at you when they asked us to "put our diamonds in the air" - you looked a lot like this - :whaaat:
  9. Tracey, let me say first off that your entire trip experience was never in question. I think all coldplayers can agree what an awesome thing it was for Babelgum to honor their contest and bring you to London for a show. I'm sure it's an experience you'll always remember. Now, what I am trying to figure out is how a difference of opinion about something has led to name calling - which is still being done in a less obvious way - as shown by the items in bold below. I have not called you names, have not disparaged you. What I did do, along with others, was agree that taking pictures of Chris's personal residence seemed wrong. Several people, including you, disagreed. This was the sole root of the beef. It wasn't your trip, or your overall experience in London. It wasn't until a friend of mine was bad mouthed that I felt the need to come and back her up. I do not feel that coming to the aid of a friend is without class, on the contrary. And this is the reason why I believe taking pictures of his personal residence is wrong. Newspapers and magazines at least blur out a license plate. I have already seen the pics of the Prius on Facebook in a public photo album that can be seen by anyone. The license plate number is clear and in its entirety. For me, it comes down to the fact that they live there. Gwyenth is famous but also just a mother with young children. I can't imagine being in her place, wondering if the people outside taking pictures are innocent or have intent to do harm. I know you did not intend her any harm but put yourself in her shoes.
  10. ^Really??? You're directing people into the Gwyneth thread to make sure they know someone had a different opinion than you about something and yet you're in this thread telling Mich to get out like you own the place? Truth is, it is an open forum, and she and anyone else can post in here or in any other thread regardless if they haven't done so before. We don't all have to agree on every single thing and we can have differing opinions without resorting to name calling. Now I've said my peace. Or I was gonna say put a frozen :waffle: on each ear and then when they are cooled down you'll have a snack. :D
  11. :wacky:
  12. :wideeyed: Those are the best kinds of pressies! So cuuuuuuuute
  13. This meet up was so great and all of us traveling together to get to the Dublin Castle was fun :D I've got a few pics to share: Tour guide Mich Angie has not passed out!! :laugh3: Me with the Bossman :D
  14. :bigcry: Ian, I hope you really understand what an amazing place you've created. I truly believe that the friends I have made on this board will be lifelong friends. Meeting you and Jen was wonderful and getting to hang out with such a great group of people with a shared passion...well, I'll never forget it. Thank you, thank you, thank you
  15. This concert seems like it happened soooo long ago  This was my first GA and queuing experience and I have to say it was so much fun to hang out with all of the lovely Coldplayers. The last few minutes waiting for the gates to open was very stressful, as was the run for the front, but leaning on the barrier at long last was worth it all. White Lies was awesome and Jay-Z just blew me away. Coldplay was on top form and even though Chris still seemed not all the way well, his voice still sounded good. Here's some pics from the day: This one is for Mich :D
  16. But there's a difference between a news story putting out some facts about their house renovation and a diehard fan nosing around and taking pictures of his personal residence. It's a public street so a person CAN just walk down it, which I admit I did, but I also know how fiercely Chris guards his family's privacy and so that's all I did. It never even crossed my mind to take a picture or to ask if anyone was home.
  17. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeee! So exciting!!!!
