ITs extremely depressing how people that you know, or have at least seen around, tend to fade away as you go through your own life. Not too long ago, an old friend of mine was killed in a car accident. It was a really wierd feeling as I haven't seen or heard from him in 3 years or so, but I just always figured he would be around for a long time. Then all of a sudden I won't get the chance to see him again. :( But life goes on...

thats horrible. :o If it makes you feel any better, there were 3 people who commited suicide at my high school. I knew two of them, one was a classmate that I saw everyday. We never really talked all that much but we did know eachother. Then one day she didnt show up for first period english and in second period the principle announced what happened. The entire school was devastated, and nothing seemed real to me either. UNfortunately, since you only know her over the internet... the best thing you can do is let her know how much she means to you and try and cheer her up as much as possible.
