  1. Haha did sound like the opening noise of 2+2=5. GPASUYF
  2. It's called 'An Ending (Ascent)' from the Apollo landings movie and the 28 Days Later soundtrack. Beautiful piece if you ask me.
  3. Did anyone get An Ending (the Eno song) I'd love to have the boys talking about it in mp3
  4. It has been all studio versions so far, no live yet. It went Shiver Sparks Fix You and now Cemeteries of London if I'm not mistaken about the order.
  5. Yeah they said hello to all the Coldplay forums, believe that's us!
  6. Grr this is so tough, listen to Brixton gig or watch Germany v Austria?!
  7. Yup, as far as I can tell..Chris plays the 2nd violin part (melody) about four bars before it comes. You can see him go back to the midi and play something distinctly different from the main verse a few bars before the violin changes. Just before the line "I used to roll the dice" he plays the violin part that accompanies it.
  8. That second voice in the chorus is a delay. Oh and Will is singing as well. And Chris does play the string part on that little midi, its just played then looped, as you can see before the violin changes in the first verse Chris goes back and seems to be playing nothing but he's actually recording the next part to be played. A bit hard to explain without screen annotations but 85% of the song is indeed played live by them
  9. Anybody care to explain Deserter to me?
  10. The whole event makes me a bit sad. Much can be said about the interview thats already been said here, but am I the only one who sees the image of Chris on the ferry back from his uncle's funeral (that we shouldn't have seen) when they think of this? It would be poor research if the interviewer hadn't seen the photo before, especially with the other meticulously researched questions he asked. He probably would have done best staying away from a subject that is a tough one for anybody to deal with, which is only magnified by the fact that it is on radio. Expert damage control from Will though, he really showed a great deal of class in keeping the interview on when he was obviously attuned to Chris' frustration and even anguish.
  11. Haha thats awesome, though in America 'guido' isn't a friendly thing to be calling someone in most parts :D Not sure how it is in the UK
  12. I freaked at Will's numbers, pretty much called out my birthday. Well, I wasn't born in 1942, but he got 17/11 right! :P
  13. So I've done some work and figured out some of the piano motifs, the melody, and most (?) of the chords. Unfortunately I don't have scanner or sheet music program on my mac, but here's my best. Key of D major Left hand plays d f# a arpeggio Right hand d f# | d g | d f# | d g | e Chords are D major and Em7 with Bm Melody is | d e f# | b d e | (reign of love)(I can't let go) d e a d d a b locusts wings...lift me up b b b b a f# d e f# e a I'm just a something something reign on love Hope its not too indecipherable. :\
