^^ yep yep yep...apart from the Edgard Varese bit, because i don't know who he is :) being Experimental depends on the band/'artist' anyway. if Bjork were to make a simple acoustic album, then that would be experimental for her, as she's not used to doing that. just like Radiohead's Kid A.., they weren't really used to doing that, until Thom Yorke started listening to a lot of different music, and experimented himself with new sounds...but other bands have been sounding similar to that album for years.. (i'm guessing, i can't really think of any now...but i'd bet my last 3 tins of tuna that there are lots of others out there)

i would get a little pissed off at Emma, just for being so stupid. there's a very fine line between experimental, weird and good. there's a lot of music which can be considered as great, for being original/experimental, but is actually rubbish (in my opinion). because someone without any musical talent at all could make a weird song, and just because it could be original, some people might class it as being good. I don't think i listen to too much experimental music, some albums i like are Radiohead - Kid A, Bjork - Homogenic & Cornelius - Point <i hope i didn't come across as being an arse there.., i didn't explain very well, but, i'm sure some people know what i mean :) >

i saw an advert for this about 5 days ago..and i thought i had been doing a good job looking out for it. But, i don't seem to be seeing the advert no more and was hoping someone could put me out of my misery and tell me if it has been on yet...i think it was channel 5 i saw the advert. if anyone saw the programme, can you tell me if it was any good? :/ i really wanted to see it

well, i don't know that much about him...just, i have a couple of drummer friends, who have shown me some videos and i've heard live performances, he's a great jazz drummer too. great at Single Paradiddles and Double Stroke Rolls, buzz notes etc
