I can give you a list of 20 artists that are much better than the beatles... of course that's just my opinion, just like some others don't like Sigur Ros, who I consider one of the best bands ever... and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I know at least 30 people that agree with me (on the beatles being overrated musically)

No, I don't find Radiohead that depressive, yes, must of their stuff is about objection to the modern society and anger, and some non escape songs that are actually quite depressing, but they also have a lot of uplifting and moving stuff. Radiohead is not a band easy to get into it, but when you really get them, you just won't get them out of your head :P

mmm nope, the beatles influenced many artists, but they are not beatles-wanna be artists like Oasis, or extremely obvious influences.... anyway I don't like pop music, except some cases like coldplay, but I hope you don't consider Pink Floyd pop. And in my opinion they have much better songs than us and them

They changed music introducing some stuff, but their string arrangements were just boring for example, there are much better arrangements than theirs

I like only a few songs by them, I consider Pink Floyd muuuch better; you can't compare at all, for me Musically The Beatles are the most overrated band of all time (just behind Rolling Stones). But I do know what they did in just a few time (basically change the popular culture, in fact they created it).
