The Mixtape Exchange, Round 3: Swaps complete, please post your reviews
Track 1: It begins with an electric guitar and then a riff that is played throught all over the song. The rythm and the lead guitar was sort of pop, so the voice, with a catchy chorus. It was ok. Track 2: Same stlye as the first, just that this time, there is more variety, more decent guitar solo, and the intro with a piano and the usual instruments, the piano plays only during the chorus and a different outro with falsetto and background voices backing up the lead singer, well it was fine. Track 3: THere is not track 3, neither 8 or 12; I supposed you made a mistake or had to delete songs but nah nevermind Track 4: Beggining with a harmonica, this is surely a Dave Matthews Band song, with that reggae-rock or coffee rock style. Not much my thing Track 5: how I wish, how I wish you were here!! Sorry couldn't help singing to this awesome song, Wish you were here by Pink FLoyd, what can I say about it? MOst of us love this classic. Track 6: Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead. Amazing and beautiful song. That track 5 and 6 follow up was great and strong. Track 7: Well it begins with some like reversed chords and electronic stuff, then a piano do some little arrangements, I'm sure it's a post rock or art rock song but not exactly, amazing guitar chords enter, lead guitar with arpeggios that fit perfectly the song, then drums and bass kick in, and little electronic sounds. Then things go louder when electric guitar goes heavier and the keyboard/electronic organ adds a very catchy riff. The singer has a pleasant voice too. Great song, I can't wait to know the name and the artist. I loved this one. Track 9: Keane, I don't like them much, but this song wasn't bad at all Track 10: A jazz song, with the bass and the drums, you know cymbal based rythm with nice bass and some tubs and trompets. Yeah nice work, but at 6:54 it becomes boring and repetitive. Track 11: mmm, how should I define this song? It's different, it's like a mix of jazz and rock, the singer has style, nice bass, drums and guitar, but what make this song special is that rythm voices they do, you know like those on jazz, I loved this one, nice guitar solo and specialy the outro rocking out. I'm eager to know this one too. Track 13: Begginin with lovely electric guitar arpeggios, very lovely guitars, then the drums and bass join in the catchy chorus with those oooohs. I suppose the song is named America. Very good song. Track 14: Good way to end. An acoustic guitar based song with some bass and drums of course and organs on the bridge. And it ends soft with beautiful strings and acoustic guitar arpeggios. ..... Ok, at first I thought it was going to be just a sort of café playlist, like the music they play on Starbucks, but after some songs I discoverd it was rather a delectable mixtape with enjoyable songs :)

LP5 Discussion Thread[Updates in First Post]
I hope the four explore more unconventional sounds and rythms, and let their musicianship inside them flow all over the music... and who was the funny that added Kid A? :P and miley cyrus :dozey:

Classical Music
I agree with you the romanticism of the 20th century is good too, I like Strauss and Rachaminoff, although I love barroque also, I prefer Vivaldi and Bach(one of my favs) rather than Haydn
