Politik is definetely one of the best CP songs, especially live. The 2003 version is the best live performance of any coldplay songn so far IMO. Goosebumps everytime I see/hear it.

Coldplay is the only band that touches my mind, body and soul. Coldplay = life to me. Plus the members are just effing ownage. Chris being the main one of course. down to earth, funny, intelligent, sexy, talented etc etc. (Yes, I'm a straight male.)

The video is a performance which was recoreded during the mtv music awards. I saw it this morning so yeah. I think im the first person on this forum to have seen the video. I only saw the last 5 seconds but I know what I saw. Chris sitting down on the stage singing the last sentence while red and white coloured paper butterfly thingies were falling down.

I have no clue, i haven't read that. I doubt its a very reliable source unless it shows chris or other member saying they have recorded it on the beach. Ugh I dunno whether to be glad its finally out or to be emo cuz its just a performance as the video :/

Yeah I think it was. The website doesnt say anything bout the clip yet other than chris marting being fat from eating all this fastfood/candy during the recording of vlv. I'm gonna leave the tele on TMF for the rest of the day =P

Yes, I'm 100% sure it was vlv. I put on the tele on 'The music factory', a dutch music channel, and I saw the last 5 seconds of the video. Chris was sitting down on stage, sang the last sentence while those butterfly paper thingies were falling down. The song just got in on 'the super chart'. So does Holland have a world exclusive or what?? Maybe its not even the official vid but...it sure looked like it was. No fancy music video with a story in it I guess =[

Doesn't surprise me at all. I mean, where did songs like 'leftrightleft' and 'Glass of Water'go? They aren't on the B-side so its safe to assume they will be on the new album which, I think, will be released 'shortly' after VLV.

only the first and last part is effing brilliant. I dont see why the album cant have just one sad song and there always has to be atleast a mixture of 2 different parts in a song.

A) If you don't like posting comments/making threads, then why are u starting a thread full of despise towards CP? B) Why should we not listen to CP if we enjoy listening to it? Sounds like the interviewer isnt much of a coldplay fan nor has he listened to the full album. Looks like he just read through the songs and thought: 'Hmm Cemeteries of London...Death and all his friends...Lost...sounds rather emo'. At least he gives his honest opnion by calling it morbid. Can't hate him for sharing his opinion. Chris must be mad frustrated at this moment as well. Can't really blame either.

Exactly. Nothing to worry about imo. You see artists do it all the time even some stand up comedians are doing it. At least he sings live, right? :)
