i'm actually starting to like 'get on your boots' a ton. i listened to it on the way to school this morning and it was in my head all day. right now there are really no songs i dislike but i'm trying not to listen to it that much until it comes out on CD... ive just been listening on their myspace. if they toured this summer i would be so goddamn happy...

Coldplay's Twitter
i would be really happy if it was an announcement of another US tour leg. especially if it was outdoor venues. maybe they will be announcing a US and latin american tour. that would effect a lot of people. but i was thinking... it would be weird to announce something at a time so convenient for the UK and Europe if it didnt concern them at all... like if it IS the announcement of a US tour i feel like it might be 12 EST... but the fact that it says 12 UK time makes me think it could be something else...

Coldplay's Twitter
i think it's definately tour dates. the only reason they didnt make it known before when they annoucned tour dates is because they didnt have a twitter then. idk if it had to do with the postcards project i dont think it would be referred to as 'news'. but if it was a release of new music that would be even better...

Which song will Radiohead play at the Grammys?
i reallyyyy hope they dont play house of cards! it's the only IR song i haven't really connected with yet. i would love to see jigsaw or weird fishes. haha today i was listening to HTDC and i thought how funny it would be if they played that. one of their saddest songs.... "i'm not here, this isn't happening.."

Grammy album of the year 09 (who you want to win/who you think will win?)
i'm not putting down vlvodaahf i just think in rainbows is musically and lyrically better. i like both albums a ton and im not in anyway trying to say that radiohead are like... superior to coldplay. its just my opinion that in rainbows is a 'better' album than viva. why? for one thing, i think theres a lot more variety from song to song. there are the songs that can put you to sleep (house of cards, videotape) and then the songs you could dance for hours to (bodysnatchers, jigsaw). i also think it's lyrically stronger but i guess lyrics are much more opinion based. finally, i think the music is more natural and more creative (the drumbeat on 15 step, the strings on faust arp). not even to mention it's pay-what-you-want release. it actually had a large effect on the music industry and im not sure you can say the same about viva...

IQ Mag: Coldplay Return to US in 2009!!
when they announced the US tour back in may of last year it was around 2am and i was in the middle of studying for my AP US History exam and i just completely lost all motivation to study hahaha... coldplaybirdsfly.... if they played the same type of venues all around the US it looks like we'd be seeing them at the tweeter/comcast center/great woods (whateve you want to call it!)

2009 albums worth hearing
Merriweather Post Pavilion!! (Animal Collective) i guess i'll have to give the new franz a listen...

IQ Mag: Coldplay Return to US in 2009!!
wow this is really good news!!! if that date for when the tickets go on sale is right we should be hearing something from them literally any day about an entire tour... because they defiantely aren't going to just play ONE US show.... and about it being a small venue... it's really not. i just looked it up on wikipedia and it holds almost 20,000 and most of the venues they played in the summer/fall held 20,000 too. soooo this is all looking VERY promising!! crossing my fingers for my first outdoor coldplay concert!

Coldplay Live: Better in "Rush of Blood" Tour or "Viva" Tour?
haha i think it's a good quesiton. imo... definately a rush of blood tour. chris's voice was impeccable and everything was natural... no backing tapes and stuff. there might not have been as many stage antics and stuff (confetti, magic balls etc.) but thats not necesarrily a bad thing.

Grammy album of the year 09 (who you want to win/who you think will win?)

The Decemberists

Prospekt: Coldplay Head Back to the Studio With Brian Eno!
ehhh i'm not too psyched about this. i'm definately happy theyre already recording again but i don't know how i feel about them doing another album with eno. sure, viva la vida was alright but i think it had too many upbeat songs and overall the lyrics just lacked emotion because they were trying to do so much with the music. overall i think it's a good piece to coldplay's discography but i just don't want a repeat of it. i want to see more of a return to their darker lyrics or a more natural, AROBTTH esque sound.

U2
hahahahahahaha i like get your boots on. it's obviously not the best thing theyve ever done but it's still a pretty decent song.
