I saw this yesterday and can tell you Chris is saying that the next time they will be playing concerts it will be in a smaller atmosphere and all acoustic instruments. He also mentions again how they just want to get better not bigger. My question is why do they think this will make them better? When was the last time a band went from stadiums to theaters and got "better"

At the Alpine Valley show, someone next to me asked the security guard in front of the stage if he cared about pot and he responded "hell no, I ask for a drag" :laugh3:

It just wouldn't make sense for them not to release a DVD from this tour.. even Johnny said its been the best tour they have ever done. The also got tons of footage from all over probably tons to pick through from 2008. This is the first time im hearing Wembly was actually filmed? Wow I hope they release that footage! Once again, there is no point for them not to!

Lovers in Japan was amazing live. Clocks and Yellow are my old favorites but they just don't play them the same as they used to.

You guys who are bitching are aware that there was an entire concert canceled in the US and no one is bitching or demanding a refund or demanding a free show.. right? You are also aware that Coldplay played a FREE show in Barcelona just last year also? I do know that you guys are making asses out of yourselves that's for sure

Right on. It amazes me that after listening to the gig a couple times over my ipod and everything, there are no (technical) problems after Violet Hill. So the sound wasn't as loud as what you got out of Bono and the boys a month ago, who cares! Next time they play in Spain I hope they do crank up the volume a little bit. Not because its not loud enough, but because Spaniards talk through the entire show and then want a damn refund because they didn't hear the show. If you want to download the show and hear the only recognizable speaker out in the whole show, during Violet go to coldplaybootlegs.com and download it, its very clear there was no problem that warranted a fucking "replay"

I guess so... I have the show downloaded and during all the slow parts, people are just carrying on conversation right through the music. (Hardest Part,beginning of DAAHF etc.) Not surprised some people couldn't hear, the crowd for a most part was pretty rude.

Maybe its because you guys just realized NOW that Coldplay doesn't blow peoples ear drums out with their concerts. I can't understand how a they would have certain speakers out for the entire concert and not fix it. Good god move on with you're lives

What does play count and public opinion have to do with how good a song is?

Chris always says things about chicago, when playing in chicago, that he never says during other shows. 1x in 2006 and 2x playing in 2008 Chris says Chicago is one of their favorite places to play, just check youtube or download the gigs on coldplaybootlegs.com. Also at Alpine Valley this year Chris said it was the best audience the have had all tour long, most of the die- hards who were there excluding myself, believe it.
