  1. I love the way he dresses now, like an orphan off Oliver Twist.
  2. Was around in Britain till Britpop (another buzz word) replaced it. Stone Roses is the band best known for it with their self titled album considered a British all time classic. Early Blur and The Verve stuff was shoegazer too, 'She's so high' being a shoegazer anthem, its sometimes called Dream pop as well as Shoegazer.
  3. Blackout reminds me of Endlessly too much, except Endlessly is a brilliant song thats considerably underrated.
  4. Feeder Couldn't find a Feeder thread when I searched, seem to be as unrecognised as the Stereophonics. So I've got Comfort is sound and im loving it, ill be getting Pushing the Senses next. Favorate songs so far are Feeling a Moment, Just the way im feeling, Summers gone and Love Polution. If you haven't tried Feeder i'd encorage you to do so, especially the ones i've mentioned their like a rockier Coldplay but with more power and less vunrable in the singers voice. Their pretty unknown outside of the UK, where they have 40 chart placements (their actually in the guiness book of records for it)
  5. Blackout for me, Its just a less good version of Endlessly. Ruled for secracy though those crashing pianos make it a fantastic closer.
  6. I like Keane a fair bit, their first release was relitively boring though, thankfully Iron sea was darker and therfore more intresting.
  7. but they arn't all as good as Meglomania, Darkshines and Citizen Erased. Gotta be in the right mood for microcuts / screenager myself. Same with Absolution and blackout or BHAR and Invincible. Absolution tho, I think everyone dislikes or doesnt love one song would be more intresting due to the disjointed nature of the album compared to the consistancy of Showbiz and OOT or Ok Computer. Id love to see a Blur or Oasis album survivor competition too.
  8. do muses absolution next it seems to please everyone but nobody loves every song.
  9. Don't like the vocal hook, just doesnt go anywhere for me. It would propably grow on me, but I dont have the song except the live version (which I like) I like most of Muses none album tracks though, whats everyones favs? Mine would be A Crying Shame (Supermassive BH B side) Glorious (Bonus track on BLAR)
  10. I didnt pay anything for Inrainbows saying id buy the disc in the shops when it was out. And its out and im seeing it not in first place and I feel guilty because I didnt buy it nor plan to anytime soon. I bought some Pulp / Blur / Modest Mouse albums to help with my recent obsession with them. Problem is Ive heard In Rainbows so much I could reciet it and theres no incentive to buy it due to the lack of a second disc. Which I refuse to download until I do finally buy In Rainbows.
  11. Let Down and Paranoid andriod will with all faith not get a single vote againsts. And why is Lucky still there?
  12. Falling away is weird for me, I do like it a lot but the beginning with the squeeky guitars just annoy me. My least favorature Muse song? propably in your world. Favorate Album totally undecided, such a diverse discography) Fav songs are Showbiz, Citizen Erased, Supermassive black hole, Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria, Appocolypse please, City of Delusion and loads more.
  13. No many do, but your all wrong, Muse was always about trying new things and evolving their sound. Absolution pushed them far in the classical, metally, doomy way that this time round they fancied their hand at pop. Sure Starlight is their biggest hit, its got the most appeal but that logic and reasoning not Muse selling out. But its not their best song :) its just proof they succeed at whatever they try.
  14. absolution would be great for that, I think the multi themed, genred nature of it means theres something for everyone to dislike. :)
  15. Does he realise he cant sing?
  16. Fitter happier is essensial to the album and the consepts within but its not exactly the track to put on your mp3 along with the rest of OKC.
  17. Only album by theres ive liked in its entirity was Abbey Road. But I love the singles.
  18. Nobody buys Metal albums, they appeal to a croud that download everything, teens (to generalise of course) Travis is basically Bends era Radiohead with more sentiments and Verve influences. Its nice to see every band that went to copy Bends era Radiohead eventually found their own sound. :) and Radiohead moved on too.
  19. Whos the idiot who put Homesick alien? its one of Radiohead's best songs lyrically and Id say thats FACT and it fits the album so perfectly. Never been that keen on Airbag, but I voted for The Tourist, as much as I love the symbols at the end.
  20. For people like me who think those are great and find The Gloaming, Scatterbrain and I will annoying filler.

    Blur's Clover over Dover!
  22. When it flows like the second half from Optomistic to Morning Bell it is indeed brilliant. The National Anthem and How to Dissapear Completely are also Brilliant. The problem is the rest of the album (heavely closer aside) feels disjointed and Everything in its right place/Tree fingers doesnt provide anything of intrest imo.

Ok off the top of my head Not No Suprises (thats about retirement and its lack of expectations) Bad / Running to a stand still - by U2 are very powerful songs not about suicide but self destructive people. Radioheads - Pyramid Song for me is interpretated as a suicide Snow Patrol's - the finish line - should be what your looking for Billy Joes Daugter - Stereophonics
  24. Its very good but I haven't touched it since I got Amersiac at christmas, Id say Amersiac has better songs than Kid A (Dollars and Cents is sooooo good)
  25. could be like this :) or maybe like 'I wanna hold your hand' by the Beatles :)
