  1. I'm glad I'm not the only one! LOL! I was humming the guitar part to Charlie Brown this morning (heard it from yesterday's performance) and kept singing the lyrics to spanish rain and now I know why... haha. I've had the 5 songs on repeat while I was cooking dinner and am about to listen to the whole concert again thanks to some quick uploaders. :D
  2. Today has been pretty much 100% devoted to Coldplay and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Their music makes me sooo freaking happy! I'm already creating my "LP5" album in iTunes thanks to this live concert! Charlie Brown, Major Minus, Us Against the World, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall etc.. all on repeat!!!!
  3. I'm speechless... That concert was so breathtaking to watch -- even if I was 7,000 miles away. If you got to go, consider yourself one lucky person. A couple quick reactions: - The new songs were AMAZING. - Chris and the band look as good as ever on stage. - I saw coldplay outdoors at a "Pavillion" but out in the open is a different story of brilliance -- especially loved the "singing in the rain" bit and how it was the perfect ending with ETIAW and the pouring rain lol... - The duet with Will was my favorite performance of the evening. Top 3 new songs from the concert: - Us against the World - Hurts Like Heaven - ETIAW
  4. Stream just froze and comes up with an error.. I hope I'm the only one. :( Gonna keep trying to get in!
  5. I'm IN HEAVEN! Thank you to the people who stream this for all the Coldplay fans of the world!
  6. The pre-headliner is done! Bring on the stage crew and then coldplay! EDIT: To the poster about -- in 40 minutes.
  7. I'm all the way in Ohio, USA and this stream looks great and sounds great (I have it plugged into a surround sound system and 50" TV)! I have cleared my schedule today (didn't have anything really planned anyway) and am patiently waiting to rock out to coldplay.
  8. I'm slightly concerned we will not be getting a stream of Coldplay tonight. It seems they skipped the entire Kooks set and are jumping around quite a bit. Perhaps larger more well known bands are refusing to be taped?
  9. I wish I could take a picture of this setup... I've got my macbook hooked up to the family 50" LCD TV with surround sound... (although I shut it off for the screamo crap).
  10. When are the Kooks playing? That I can at least enjoy over this screamo.... lol
  11. Has this new song been posted yet? I like the feel of this one a lot... Another one that is the love child of Viva + ROBTTH + Parachutes lol.... http://www.youtube.com/user/Sortofbeautiful08#p/u/6/bbKlaAHM09Q
  12. All of these songs are so amazing. Add to that the re-working of their live show with new intros etc. and I am so happy to be a Coldplay fan today... One of my biggest regrets was not getting to see Life is for Living performed live and it looks as if I might get a chance! Us against the world gives me major goosebumps.... so amazing.
  13. Not definitive just yet but we hope by the end of the summer at the latest or if we are lucky in a month or so. lol
  14. I love this song and it's grown on me since the morning. I've listened to it a good twenty times today, LOL.
  15. Have a great time! Jealous doesn't begin to describe my emotions, but all I can think about is seeing them twice in the next year!
  16. Ok that was cool, as soon as I used it, Coldplay was the next one to use it. EDIT: Oh nevermind -- I can't read time. Only missed them by about 2 hours haha.
  17. I think you are totally entitled to that opinion, but being a huge fan of electronic music -- I disagree about this "sampling" thing. Sampling in and of itself is an artform. I think that shows Coldplay's creativity that they heard a song written back in the late 80's early 90's and thought "hey, this song has a great chord structure!" Keep in mind the older version was a honky-tonk piano style and that holds no other similarities beyond the chords remained. Is this Sparks? No, but I appreciate so many forms of music from Indie-rock to Dub-step so this song is a great uplifting beat. We can't expect Chris and the guys to invent new chords for their songs so If they feel they need to recycle an old sample because the chord structure was pleasant -- more power to them. Besides, I'm sure Chris will do an acoustic version of this song and all the girls that I've been reading on facebook who commented how disappointed they were in the song will fall back in love, LOL. Personally, I think this song just screams for a live performance and is amazingly uplifting.
  18. I wish I had all the money in the world so I could just follow these guys on tour. Just sayin... These guys could do covers of some polka and I would love it. Anything quicker than the usual three years is absolutely fantastic!
  19. My budget is going to be about $100, but I'm determined to grab SOMETHING...anything... Heck, I'd buy a hairbrush or maybe one of Will's drumsticks or anything really. Is anyone like me and just would love to possess something that COLDPLAY used to own or even USE. God, I've got goosebumps just thinking about it. This band is the soundtrack to my life and it would be really meaningful for me to get something that they used to have. On a side note, did anyone save the butterflies from "Lovers in Japan" like myself?
  20. Hi Everyone! I drove four hours from Northeast Ohio to go to the concert with some cousins and a friend yesterday and just got back. I have a lot of videos of the concert -- albeit not up close, but the AUDIO is very good -- sorry if I sang along in a lot of spots. Now, I will say this, we got there at about 7ish. I went to the Cleveland show in the fall and was blown away as always (my third show overall was Cincy) having had a seat next to the left catwalk. So to spare you, I split my review into two sections: RIVERBEND REVIEW: This concert I settled for lawn seats because I didn't want to force my cousins to pay too much either -- but I kind of regretted that decision. Riverbend is a cool facility but we had to stand along the right railing (where pavilion ticket holders enter) for over four hours because the lawn was shielded by these enormously large rail/pillar/support things. Stupidest design ever -- kills a lot of views. Also, we sat at a standstill at the end of the concert in the parking lot from 11:00pm until 12:10am before we got out of there. You'd think the people who run Riverbend would have figured it out by now... Finally, there were a lot of drunk and overly drunk people there and also waay too much cigarette smoke but that's not necessarily Riverbend's fault. I saw one guy who had to be taken out in a wheel chair because he was so drunk -- and the concert hadn't even started. One final complaint. The crowd tonight at first seemed to be pretty lackluster -- for example, I was EXTREMELY disappointed that there was no Cell phone glowsticks during the Viva La Vida Remix -- even quiet ol' Cleveland did that. It was as if the crowd lived under rock because they even had video playing on the stage during that time with glowsticks being waved... But, in the end, they redeemed themselves when we all started doing the Viva la Vida chant for the bands final Encore. I honestly was fooled and thought they were done, but BOY did we chant. ------------------ Coldplay: I was really excited for the show because I had seen them in Cleveland in the fall and knew that I could appreciate it more this time and even look for a few surprises. They really did not disappoint. I was really excited to see Glass of Water make an appearance as well as The Neil Diamond cover... Chris seemed extremely playful tonight and I noticed that he was changing a lot of the lyrics in the songs (either on purpose or just forgetting). At one point he said, "Someone told me the Cardinals beat the Reds -- but I don't know what the f--- that means..." Pretty classic Chris right there. I don't know why, but this night really grew on me. At first I felt disappointed in Cincinnati -- like we were letting Chris down, but at the end when he complimented us, it was really redeeming and felt good. It was also different for me because I feel like I worked just as hard as the band. I stood for three plus hours -- cheered and sang my head off and was hanging on every word. So everytime he gave us props out on the lawn -- I really appreciated it. Coldplay continues to put on the best show in the industry and it helps that they are a BRILLIANT band with a KILLER line-up.
  21. Quick search turned up the answer, sorry!
  22. Viva La Vida Techno Remix (Concert) I apologize if this is the umpteenth thread about this song, but I was at the Cleveland show about a month ago and fell in love with the remix... Is it released? Bootlegged? Anywhere? I think its splendid and would love to have it on my iPod.
  23. X&Y, even though considered as Coldplay's weakest effort, is still a fantastic album... Some of my favorites... Fix You The Hardest Part A Message Swallowed in the Sea Till Kingdom Come I'd have to say AROBTTH is my favorite album of course, though. I think one of Coldplay's best songs is a B-Side: Proof
