21-Oct-08: Cleveland - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos [originally 6 Jul]
I'm in the lower bowl Section 124, Row 4.... Right next to the stage and can't wait! I would've like to see them in the Summer, but I guess I'm glad I'm still getting to go.

coldplay live on radio 2 this afternoon, Front Row R4 this evening
This was very weird. Chris is under a lot of pressure, I'm sure. I agree that Chris probably just didn't want to talk so openly about the lyrics when he writes them straight from his heart. Chris is a private guy, we know that. The interviewer was a prick though. He was controlling everything about that interview -- from the questions to the answers as well. He'd answer his own question and then force Chris to go on the defensive. I hope Coldplay is doing OK as a band. It seems like a silly concern, but this is the kind of pressure that hurts a bands will to continue... and if I don't have Coldplay to look forward to for the next ten years, I might as well lose hope in all music.

General Chat: Setlist
I see you're from Ohio, you better be going to the Cleveland show in October. :) (GRRRRRRRRR, it was in July until Coldplay postponed....)

General Chat: Setlist
Pick Coldplay's Viva La Vida Tour Set List Alrighty, well Coldplay usually is the master of a good set list. Let's assume that the concert is 90 minutes long with an average of each song being 6 minutes long. That's 15 songs... Now, obviously they'll play mostly Viva La Vida songs so be realistic about that as well.... Time to pick your dream set list for the Viva La Vida Tour! 1. Violet Hill 2. 42 3. Lovers in Japan 4. Yes 5. Lost? (I just have a feeling they'll play the accoustic version) 6. Clocks 7. The Scientist 8. In My Place 9. Politik 10. Amsterdam 11. Reign of Love 12. Green Eyes 13. Death And All Its Friends 14. Fix You 15. Viva La Vida

Post pictures with your VLVODAAHF
Silly question, but will iTunes have the album available for download on June 12? I pre-ordered it through them and actually won't be getting a hard copy of the album.

The Lost! Club for All Who Cannot Get a Straight Answer on Tour Dates
That's true. I was just really looking forward to seeing them not long after their album comes out, when all the hype is still going on. It will still be great though.

The Lost! Club for All Who Cannot Get a Straight Answer on Tour Dates
You are effin' kidding me right!?!?! Now instead of July 7, 2008 I have to wait until October 21, 2008 to see Coldplay in Cleveland? What a joke -- ridiculous.

Chinese Sleep Chant
I'm actually not a fan of this song. Phooey, I tried. I can't make it through the whole song. I've listened to it like 5 times already since last night and it still bother me.

Anyone only like certain parts of 42?
This is my favorite song on the album -- honestly. It's been stuck in my head for two days now. The lyrics at the beginning are so insanely strange that I'm a fan! "Those who are dead are not dead, but just living in my head."

This album can only be described by 1 word: BRILLIANT.
I can only say how amazed I am with this CD. The first time I listened through it -- like someone said earlier, it was just an adjustment. This is my third time through the CD in less than twelve hours and I already love this CD more than X&Y, which was a great album. I can't compare it to AROBTTH and Parachutes because that's like comparing a butterfly to a caterpillar. Now the ticket I just purchased for the concert in July is going to be 110% worth it. Favorites if I have to pick them are: 1. 42 2. Death and All its Friends 3. Lovers in Japan 4. Lost? 5. Lost! Note, I already have the Lost? (accoustic) song and it is my favorite song to play on the piano and sing along to at the moment, such a fantastic song. The full version is great, though. Also, Is it me or does the first 30 seconds of Strawberry Swing remind you of a field recording of some japanese ritual or something? And then it materializes into this song that has such a great beat through it. Viva La Vida or Death and All its Friends is a brilliant CD and I can't wait for my pre-order to come in. It seems like this well thought out story with a beginning and an end and you decide truly, is it Life or Death? And while you decide, there is this heartbeat that just keeps on beating throughout the entire CD.

Best Coldplay Chorus???
I hate to agree with everyone, but Politik is simply mind-numbing... BUT, After hearing Lovers in Japan, I may have to say that it is near the top when the drums and guitar kick in. On a separate note, I just got my tickets to Coldplay on July 6 in Cleveland, Ohio and I've been running in circles all day. 4th Row, to the left of the stage in the lower level. When I went in 2005 I could barely make out their faces, but now I'll be right there! Soo excited. 19 year old men aren't supposed to like bands this much.

Tour 2008
Ok, so I'm a die-hard Coldplay fan. I have all albums, b-sides, live DVD -- you name it... But why do they insist on such ridiculous ticket pricing? They'll be coming to Cleveland which is real close and where I saw them in '05, but I don't remember tickets being priced at $124 for nose bleeds! As if they need the money. I'll do my best to go and I plan on going but when other concerts are in the 25-50 range I see no reason for such god-awful pricing strategy! -- 500+ for a floor seat? Pfft... they aren't Jesus.

Tour 2008
Well of course they'd be fools not to go on another tour of the U.S. after this album since it sounds like Chris believes this is the band's best work yet. As long as they come to Cleveland, OH I will be happy as that's only a 40 minute drive and they did come for the X&Y Tour. (First Coldplay concert ever!)

Play Along with Coldplay (Piano) ???
There was an earlier thread that had CD's that allowed you to play piano for Coldplay. The links are now expired... Anyone have this and can repost it at any file site? Please? BTW, Sorry if you opened the thread hoping I had this....

Bucket For a Crown (played by me)
I hope you enjoy it. My channel also has other Coldplay songs -- most notably I did an adaption of 'Green Eyes' and have a HOW TO video for a response. See you soon... **Knock on Wood** P.S. I still haven't gotten my hands on Rush of B-Sides to the Head so if you have the hook-up you know where to find me... (PM or just post a link)

A Rush of B-Sides to Your Head
That's so awesome! Thanks dude!

A Rush of B-Sides to Your Head
I'd like to think that I'm a HUGE Coldplay fan. I got into them around 2003-04 when I heard Clocks playing on the radio in a store in Times Square (I still remember it like it was yesterday). I bought X&Y at Border's book store for the outlandish price of $16 and I got the rest of their albums the next Christmas. I had the amazing dream come true of seeing them in concert in March during their Twisted Logic Tour and I still wish the concert was going on right now. BUT, rather than babble on about my complete Coldplay devotion and worship, let me get to my confession... I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO HEAR 'A RUSH OF B-SIDES TO YOUR HEAD'! Isn't that disguisting!?!? I mean, I've heard of it before, but I was never able to get my hands on the whole album. I just heard about four of their songs including the '2000 Miles' cover on YouTube and I have to say -- I'm in stunned disbelief. I almost like as much as Parachutes if not better! SO, here's my dilemma. I want to get my hands on the 'Rush of B-Sides to Your Head' Album with all 21 songs that I'm just dying to hear, but after a substantial Google search I can't find the album anywhere. If Itunes had it, I'd buy it straight up now! If I could find a trustworthy site besides the ones in Google who will let me download it for the "low" price of a 19.99 membership fee then I would. Furthermore, if someone knows if I can possibly get it with 'no financial loss', then I would love that even more. Don't get me wrong, I'll buy it if the site is right and the price is good, but my main concern is ease of access. If there's a site that has the download for free and is MUCH easier than a site asking for a fee then I'll go with the first option. Same if the scenario is switched around. Happy New Year! Thanks for any help provided. I'll be sticking around hear more often. I've heard of this place before, but maybe I can actually contribute. ;)
