  1. 3 years sounds right. Bar parachutes-AROBTTH, all the rest of the album release's have been around 3 years apart. All good things come to those who wait :D

Mine still work from June. Try unfolding a paper clip and sticking it in the small slot on the side above the D where its stamped Coldplay. Wiggle it about it should light for a second or so. Failing that remove the four screws on the back you will find the batteries (button type) and a small circuit board :)
  3. This was my attempt
  4. Croydon...Yes :) Xylo band and bullet proof vest :D
  5. My own fault! How many times i've looked at that picture and never made out the name. Never mind. Time for a eye test :)
  6. Afternoon boys and girls. I apologise if this has been posted already, I don't get a chance to get on here much at the moment :( Anyway I've seen posts on people doing their own spray paint work. As I was considering this myself, I started looking for spray paint and found, what I think is the spray paint Coldplay use. Its called Molotow. Thought it might be helpful for anyone doing this. If you look at the picture of Guy holding the can and then look on the molotow site. They look the same. http://www.molotow.com/molotow/
  7. People should bark like a dog instead of swear, how much more amusing that would be.
  8. Personally I have loved it from day one. I know some people don't share the same opinion. But to me this album just bursts with energy and positivity. Along with the album art work and general sound of the album it has portrayed to me the excitement of life. It's a mass of bright colours and soaring melodies. Kind of the same effect oasis songs have like "live forever", gives you a fretting kick back to the top. As much as I love their old stuff (first 3 albums) the new to me is a much more positive and hopefully message. I love it, and since seeing them at emirates last week has just made me love it even more which I didn't think was possible. I think they have raised the bar once again. They haven't sold out. The reason people have warmed more to their new sound is because it's far more uplifting in a positive way. Which at the end of the day is what brings happiness in life, positivity and positive thinking. To me this album lights a fire inside as it were. I seem to find "don't let it break your heart" a particular favourite at the Moment. There is no 1st, 2nd or 3rd favourite. All are top. And the lyrics still speak to me as much as they did all them years ago from the early days. It's a beautiful album :D like a ray of sunshine!
  9. I was hesitant to coldplay going on poop factor. But doing so they achieved two things! 1. They put to bed any old opinions of coldplay being boring and down beat. 2. 3/4 of the show was sob stories from jumped up karaoke singers jumping about stage. On comes coldplay and tears the show to bits. Shows them how it's really done. Raw talent! Well done to them!

Personally I think paradise is an amazing song. Everything fits perfectly. I liked every tear drop is a waterfall the moment i heard it and the same with paradise. Both solid songs. I'm not going to like anything they realease just because i like Coldplay but they keep on giving good music. The base line in this song is really good too. I know some people like the old stuff but this new music from 2008-current seems to me to give a burst of life, makes you feel on top of the world. They did the slow stuff ie the scientist, fix you, warning sign, trouble etc etc For which some people brand them depressing, far from that, to me they are uplifting and beautiful. Now they seem to have upped the tone to a more cheerful uplifting beat, that makes me feel alive and give me a buzz. I personally like their new stuff just as much as the old, both for their own reasons as i said. Thank goodness their album is out soon the tosh in the charts is getting boring, timed just right. Time to inject some proper music into the charts again.
  11. i hate london, and the arrogant, self absorbed, pretentious, pencil pushing, wine bar loving yuppie ****s that occupy it. Manors cost nothing....*Cue flying head butt* mm yar for sure brill, let me just run this one by you.
  12. Apart from there exceptional talent, being nice people, staying grounded for the position they are in. But most of all there music speaks to me in no way any other band has before. Their music to me has pulled me out of some holes made me see wrong from right and at the same time brought a new lease of life. So for that they get my vote. Like with most things you either get it or you dont.

Was working in Camden today near Kentish town. On my way home came to a set of traffic lights and noticed a pub being painted, and straight away recognised the name but it didnt know where from. Then got it, was the "Bull and Gate "where Coldplay performed many years ago. Tried to take a picture but lights changed before i had a chance. Sorry to post, put a big smile on my face because im sad like that. Anyone interested in going there Kentish town tube station is a few hundred yards away.
  14. I am honoured i must say :). It is a cracking song tho, one of those ignored songs bit like gravity etc all good songs.
  15. Would have to be Warning sign. Had a bit of a weird one with that. My aunt loved the song liked the beat and strings, Cut a long story short she died very suddenly, the last time I saw her was on a friday at 10:40am i remember cos i was running late But waring sign always meant something. Anyway the following year I went into the Kitchen turned on the radio, and a advert came on, the advert then cut out the radio went silent for about 2-3 seconds then Waring sign came on. It clicked when it came on that day it was exactly a year since i had last seen my aunt and the time it came on was bang on 10:40am. I havent heard warning sign again on the radio since nor had i before. Maybe sheer chance but i like to think not poss a hello of some sort. But anyway thats why.

Bob Marley believed you could cure racism and hate by injecting music into peoples soul! What do you think? Personally i think he was onto something there. Music is a powerful thing and that his idea isnt impossible. As some people know music can fix people when they are very depressed or low. Pointless thread but was thinking about this earlier just wondering what others think?
  18. Oh well out with one arse hole in with another. Charm the public with there plans and end up stirring shit and rasing taxes the world really doesnt need jerks like these anymore. I think Americans take all this politcian and election thing way way to seriously. Look where it has got the world in the last 8 years. Glad to see the back of the twat. To bad the damage has already been done now.
  19. No problem ;) . Theres also Bourne wood in Farnham surrey, which is where the woodland part of the scientist was filmed. Havent been there. Wouldnt mind as it looks like a nice wood.
  20. I dont know any shops but if you go anywhere near London Bridge try and find the london dungeons. If you do carry on walking down past them on the same side of the road. You'll pass a tunnel called stainer street carry on down the second tunnel is weston street where fix you was filmed. May not be that interesting but made my day when i stumbled on it.
  21. Its just the new songs in which his voice sounds off at times. Some of the new ones his voice sounds very very good in, others like Violet hill not so much [ personally i think the piano would improve the whole live version not a guitar]. However when they have sung the old songs so far this year his voice has been fine. He is just adapting to the new ones, along with nerves, singing and playing a instrument at the same time its only natural for the brain to concentrate on one more than the other, if he is playing a new song and he focusing on not mucking the insrtumental up his will loose focus on vocals. Its nothing to worry about just the same as with the last records, come the big concerts they will be good. All these free shows and tv shows are warm up's to fine tune everything, they dont want to jump straight into concerts otherwise people wont be happy with the quality of it.
  22. Overrated: None ;) Underrated: Gravity Chris's voice sounds so haunting in it. He sounds emotionally drained its sung with passion, its one of those songs that stops and makes you listen and think. Very touching song.
  23. Its weird i have had that countless times over the last year. In the car or at home and change radio station thinking i bet coldplay will be on XFM and a lot of the time it is, sometimes i even guess the song correct.
  24. I like hearing them play Fix you and Yellow two of my favourite songs by them. Not everyone has seen them live before me included. I dont see why people go on about fix you being over played its not a old song but its a good one pretty much every time they play, clocks has been played to since 2002 but people dont go on about that being over played no where near as much as fix you. I think its the fact its from X&Y, and lately everyone seems to love bashing X&Y because Coldplay admit it was ONE or TWO tracks long. I think they enjoy playing it, plus they sound great live. Its not a case of what should they ditch but extend the concert time. They cant make more albums and keep it to a hour and a half show all the time at some point they will have to extend there show length to fit more in to statisfy the crowd.
