  1. Only disppointment for me was that they never played Arizona! Probably my fav tune of theirs!! Was great despite that mind you. Even the 45 minute wait to get out the car park didn't annoy me (2 nights in a row!!) Arcade Fire. Now there's a gig I would have loved to have been at. Nearest I got was U2 using Wake up as their intro music on the last tour :D
  2. Its definitly a Scottish thing I think lol. Heard it last night during Kings Of Leon's (sublime) Slow Night So Long and also during Franz Ferdinand's Take Me Out. I think we just like to sing and a lack of words ain't gonna stop us :D
  3. What did you think then? Another great KOL gig though I don't know why they've started slowing down some old songs. Still great tunes nonetheless! :)
  4. Its normally all standing there apart from bands that you want to sit down to. It'll be standing at the Kings Of Leon gig I'm just about to leave for :D Last night was mega but can you imagine how much more amazing it might have been if it was standing on the floor? We were all standing anyway I suppose :D Armosphere didn't suffer at all.
  5. OK got the pics sorted out. Sorry about the blurriness but I was a bit far away and the zoom was being affected by the jumping about :)
  6. Yep thats spot on!! I knew they never played Cemeteries of London lol
  7. Cool no probs! Left them uploading all night lol!!
  8. Thats the one that I'm thinking 'Did they play this?' cos I'mnot 100% sure at the moment. I'm sure there'll be someone to put us both out our misery soon lol
  9. lol cos my memory is not what it used to be! Yeah they played Life In Technicolor II right at the end. In fact I have the full song on vid and will share once its uploaded to YouTube :)
  10. I'm horrible at remembering setlists but it seemed the same as Birmingham except Speed Of Sound was played on the main stage and not acoustically
  11. Nah it was a black number. To be honest it looked like he's got the tickets as a business perk. She was telling him to tell the others to sit down (all 10000 of us lol) and he just stood up and then did nothing lol.
  12. Were you on the floor or in the stands? Think I would have did what you did and went down the front as well if nobody was stopping me but not so easy when you're in the tiers lol. Have to say everybody was up dancing where I was too. Think I sat for about a minute of a song but that was just to sort out the settings on my camera. Just uploading my pics but nowhere near as good as yours. Not too shabby seeing as I was at the back mind you lol. Get the whole stage in as well so it shows a different perspective.
  13. Have to say the oddest (and also the funniest) part of the night was the couple sat to my right who left after 6 songs. They were all tarted up. You could tell they hadn't been to a rock concert before lets put it that way. She had the fur coat and all the bling on her fingers and probably elsewhere too (I never asked lol) and was so pissed off cos folk were standing in front of her. They buggered off never to be seen again lol! Was cool cos we could move about a bit more. Who leaves a gig after 25 mins anyway?? Pair of fuds!
  14. lol was he trying to be all discreet and stuff as well. Yeah was great seeing them so close up. Made a huge big gig seem that bit more intimate.
  15. Yeah fantastic! Took a lot of folk by surprise but I sat there smugly thinking 'Told you!!' lol They even paid a wee tribute to Travis during Green Eyes by singing 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me' in one of the lines! Nice!
  16. That was one of te best shows I've ever been to! 5th time seeing them live. Twice at T, supporting U2 at Slane Castle and last time at Bellahouston Park. This was the first indoor gig so I've been looking forward to for months. When we took to our seats (section K) I noticed there was a bit boxed off in the section next to me. I was 90% certain that they would play there and they did. What a buzz!!! If I wasn't so financially tight with Xmas I would be there again on Tuesday night but I'll just have to wait for Hampden now instead. Pics & Vids ot follow but now I'm away to get some rest for Kings of Leon tomorrow. Its the Carlsberg weekend for me :)
  17. I think it was Bellahouston Park in July 2005. Same weekend as Live 8
  18. Don't ask me why but I was a bit worried about this album. When you hear one of your fav bands are trying a slightly different direction on their next album I'm always worried they'll stop doing all the things I liked about them. Then I heard about the influences and even the name of the album and I got more worried. But after listening to this album my fears have been totally misguided! In your face Kevvvy!!! Yeah its a different direction, yeah its a different sound. But its still Coldplay. Think it'll win more new fans than lose old fans. This is their best album yet. Going to listen to this maybe one more time then wait for the CD next week. Fav track so far is between Yes & Strawberry Swing ut that'll change on the bus trip to and from work tomorrow. Then again next week when I have the CD! Roll on December!!!
  19. Nah its all about getting drunk!
  20. BBC do not have the rights to the Brits so if you're looking for live stuff all you'll get is interviews in the studio. To be honest what you're listening to is a lot fucking better than what us Brits will have to put up with tomorrow night on ITV1!! The Brits is probably one of the most boring awards ever. Not as bad as the Grammys mind you but close.
  21. I think you just summed them up Sir Raptor. They've reclaimed the word Pop from being a dirty word!
  22. Yep it is! NME had a piece about it last week.
  23. No chance! It kickstarted a whole new wave of great UK bands. Even though they're not the best UK band around they got other bands a lot of airplay just by breaking through. A whole leap forward for music I say!! :)
