  1. exactly... as we've seen over the past decade more government action has only made things worse
  2. they are weak... think about it. when the average american goes to vote if they are not confident or don't know about the party, they aren't going to vote for a third party because they know they won't win anyway so they'll either go for dem or rep. because it's the "safe" way to go since those two parties have been in power forever
  3. me too. actually recently i changed my political party from independance to "I do not want to affiliate w/ any party". honestly i don't like to stay on any party lines, but rather vote for the person i agree w/ the most on the issues
  4. i say at least 3... possibly more
  5. yup... it was terrible w/ bush w/ the republicans, and terrible w/ obama and the democrats. there should be other parties that have more of a say (but those parties are so small and weak no one would really bother voting)
  6. i'm really surprised how pretty much everyone gets so few people
  7. thanks to all those that came to the LP! here's what I played
  8. *cough* http://www.ustream.tv/channel/the-gloaming09 *cough*

  12. If Obama could become president, Pelosi speaker of the house, Reid the Senate Majority Leader, and Palin a Vice-Presidental hopeful then anyone can pretty much be president/a high political figure.
  13. I'd say the thing I'm most afraid of is the unknown. This encompasses death, not knowing what's out there in the dark/basement or just psychological fears, etc. Also I'm afraid to fly even though I've never done it.
  14. anyone possibly interested in one?
  15. "I'm afraid of everyone.... I'm afraid of everyone..."
  16. I could see bands like Radiohead, Beck, Pearl Jam, Green Day and also Muse releasing 10+ albums in 30 years. For some reason I sort of don't see Coldplay making it. I dunno why. I feel they still will make music for a few more albums, but I almost feel that they won't last... just a gut feeling.
  17. It may be really late here but fir tomorrow or today I might want to do one of these. Let me know what works best but I was thinking around 6pm est
  18. Just watch some classic horror movies
  19. Metric is playing an acoustic show at MoMA on Nov. 10 as an after party to an exhibit... I was really thinking about going, until I found out that tickets are $100 :\
  20. I think he's a terrible president. He is completely trying to change the country and give the government more control. I don't want the govenment telling me what to do... let me decide for myself. Also... all of this spending... way too out of control. Not to mention the healthcare bill that is filled with crap, and although the american people didn't want it he forced it. He's a great public speaker and good at rallying people... his 2008 campaign was unbelievable how it was organized. But besides reading off a teleprompter... he has no real substance
  21. an extra hour of sleep will be nice!
  22. great site... one of my favorites!
