It was more than just verbal abuse?... that's fucked up. I think we have concern because I think we believe that parents should love their children to the fullest. I think she (kels) has a lot of concern for the topic because she is a new mother, and I'm sure could never picture herself acting to her child as people on this thread have described themselves treated. Of course I can't speak for her, but I'd imagine that's why. I think why it angers me so much is because it's unfair to you to have to go through such abuse, when in fact there was nothing that you did wrong. I'm sure that most people would agree that regardless of the situation it isn't right to treat your children like that especially at such an important developmental age.

I think it's just the thought that your parents could be so disrespectful/say hateful things is what gets me angry w/ this thread. I can only imagine the kinds of things that may have been said
