The Drums
Listened to the new album a few days ago... I enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away or anything. I need to listen to it again.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
Anyone else a fan of the band? I was going to see them live because I heard they were good but I haven't really listened to them. I just got the new album off amazon.com and listening so far. Only 3 tracks in, but I'm enjoying it. [ame= ] [/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtH8m_i8O7k]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtH8m_i8O7k[/ame] [ame= ] [/ame]

"Perfect" Albums
See I would consider In Rainbows and I love it to death... but I feel that Faust Arp might be the one track that feels out of place, and breaks the flow of the album

"Perfect" Albums
Of course ideally there's no such thing as perfect but this is a thread to list what albums you think are perfect. What I consider to help determine if an album is perfect is the overall flow of an album, if there's no weak songs/flaws, and I it's an album that you can always go back to. So with that said what albums do you consider to be perfect? For me there are very few but the ones I consider perfect are: Abbey Road-The Beatles Dark Side of the Moon-Pink Floyd Kid A-Radiohead In Rainbows-Radiohead There's other albums I'm considering, but I have to think about them for a while. They include: Funeral-Arcade Fire Person Pitch-Panda Bear

The Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe!
I find it extremely offensive and idiotic of people to believe that 9/11 was done by the government. I mean there would be no way for the government to plan such an elaborate event as 9/11 AND get away with out. There would at least be someone that would leak information if it was true... which it isn't. Also people have mentioned that explosives were used to collapse the buildings. This is another point I find rediculous. With such a big explosion from the airplane, the leaking jet fuel that was on fire with the intense heat and the immense weight of the building above the crash sites in the WTC, there is no question that the buildings collapsed because of the plane crashes... I think any rational person would come to this conclusion. Watching this Penn and Teller thing is great how they debunk it all... the conspiracy theories these people create are rediculous.

Bands that are better live than on CD
MGMT was alright when I saw them... but they are definitely a better studio band... well let me at least say their first album... their 2nd one really sucks IMO

Bands that are better live than on CD
I really like the idea of this thread. Honestly though I think its tough to pick though. I personally find so many bands produce great studio albums that although live is great sometimes it's not as good. either way I think that these are bands that I would consider to be really great live or possibly better live than studio: Pink Floyd Phish Radiohead Led Zeppelin The Album Leaf Broken Social Scene

Favorite Canadian Band...if you have one
it's funny you mention that... because I was wondering if Arcade Fire would be considered a Canadian band if members were originally from other countries... but I guess they would be from Canada if that's where the band was born.

impress meh
I'm glad that you really like it! :D It was actually one of the first songs by Eels that I heard, and one of my favorites (though I don't know too many by them) I might give it a go and cover it... though there are a bunch of covers on youtube of it.
