  1. I think it will IF Lost and Lovers in Japan are singles. I think the 4th single (Hardest part was radio only in UK) will help with sales a lot as X&Y didnt really have a proper one.
  2. Lol, I was wandering why I heard life is for living three times in a row :laugh3: Keep up the good work, enjoy listening to it all the time :)
  3. Hope it comes soon, its taking too long :(
  4. Coming close to 300 listens now and im still not bored of it. Normally I get bored over songs after 150 listens but it just does not happen with VLV.
  5. Im 18, almost 19.
  6. Viva La Vida = Most - 222 full listens on Itunes Life In Technicolor = Least - 36 ^
  7. Someone please rip them, they take ages to load, allthough ive seen them now and they were amazing, its annoying to have to pause them every few seconds because it didnt stream properly :P Yeh, some people are against the dancing :( More crazy dancing from Chris I say :D
  8. What album do you think would be the album of the year for you then?
  9. Ne-Yo is on physical this week so he gains the advantage, 2k is still a slim gap and hopefully Coldplay can catch it up :P
  10. Cant wait for the U2 album, should be great as always, im not to bothered what is more successful, they are both two great band's and its great that we get to hear two amazing album's this year :D Coldplay will win it though since U2's release would be towards the end of the year, too late for a 2nd single or huge overall sales until the following year.
  11. I heard Talk playing in the pub the other day. On same speakers, anyone notice that Chris Martin's voice is higher, like talk sounds a lot higher pitched when I heard it to what it does if I play it on my computer.
  12. Lol did someone just say Ne-yo is talented? :o
  13. The sales info from Friday were... 1) Coldplay - 16.6k 2) Ne-Yo - Under 15k. I think Coldplay have got this, hope it becomes #1 :D
  14. All I see in the video is some guy with a dodgy tash and the song is only slightly similar.
  15. oops, double post.
  16. Coldplay eyeing first ever number one single 12:58 | Tuesday June 17, 2008 By Paul Williams Coldplay are strong bets to score their first ever UK number one single with early retail sales suggesting Viva La Vida will debut at number one this Sunday. The Parlophone track had previously been excluded from the chart after being made available as an individual download to anyone pre-ordering the digital version of the band’s new album. However, that situation has now passed, allowing Viva La Vida to qualify for the singles chart for the first time. Coldplay, whose Speed Of Sound was famously prevented from becoming the band’s first number one single in 2005 by Crazy Frog, are presently a few hundred sales ahead of Mint Royale’s Syco-issued Singin’ In The Rain with Def Jam/Mercury’s Close by Ne-Yo third in a tightly-packed race among the leading contenders. In fact, there are little more than 2,000 sales separating the current midweek number one and Jive/RCA act Chris Brown’s Forever at number eight. While the battle for number one on the singles chart is too close to call at present, Coldplay are certainties to spend a second week at the top of the artist albums chart with Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends currently outselling its closest challenger, Rockferry by Duffy, by more than six units to one. Coldplay could also find themselves with two simultaneous Top 10 singles for the first time with Violet Hill presently sitting at 10 on the midweeks, up from 12 where it landed on last Sunday’s chart. Lower down, expect brand new entries in this coming weekend’s singles countdown from acts including the Subways and Billiam, while Cage The Elephant will break into the Top 40 for the first time, with Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked set to make a huge climb from its present chart position of 196. Back on the albums chart and, while Coldplay’s phenomenal sales mean the contest for number one this week is already over, the band will be joined by no less than eight brand new entries in the Top 20. These include Echo’s Feeder with Silent Cry and Dennis Wilson scoring his first-ever solo hit album in the UK, some 25 years after he died in a drowning accident. Sony BMG’s revival of his Pacific Ocean Blue & Bambu – 2 is presently eight in the midweeks, ahead of new entries from Darren Styles, Fleet Foxes, Sara Bareillies, The Music, Judas Priest and Weezer.
  17. After finally being allowed to chart, Viva La Vida looks set to storm the singles chart, entering at #1. Previous single's that missed number 1 were In My Place and Speed of Sound who were beaten by Darius and the Crazy Frog. Its not for certain yet that Coldplay will be #1 by sunday but its looking very likely. A big surprise, a nice one too :P Singles 01 Coldplay - VLV 02 Mint Royale 03 Ne Yo 04 Rihanna 05 Sara Bareilles Top 10 Chris Brown Coldplay - VH Top 15 Jordan Sparks Top 30 Fall Out Boy Subways Madonna - GI2M Maroon 5 Cage The Elephant Top 40 Flo Rida feat. Timbaland Nickelback Billiam ========================== Albums 01 Coldplay 02 Duffy 03 Neil Diamond 04 Paul Weller 05 Feeder Top 10 Dennis Wilson Darren Styles Top 15 Fleet Foxes Sara Bareilles The Music Top 20 Judas Priest Weezer Top 30 Offspring Petula Clark Top 40 Willie Nelson There are no sales info yet but I will post if I can find any.
