What's your favorite Coldplay video?
I like most of their videos, but especially GPASUYF - great story, LIJ- beautiful look, and The Scientist because it's so clever but I don't like the fact that it's only got Chris in it. My absolute fave is Talk

You see a used condom, an executioner's mask, and a goddamn spiked paddle... don't think, just pack that bitch. Chop suey!" "When my father gave away my car, I was forced to lose my virginity on the back of a moped." "We may be whores at my agency, but we ain't pimps!"

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
April 8, 2009 - submitted by Marisa, United States of America Q. Could you please tell me what part Chris sings in Band Aid's "Do they know it's Christmastime?" ? Please. Thanks, Oracle! =] The Oracle replies: Chris opens the song, so the first line of Band Aid 20 'It's Christmas time, there's no need to be afraid At Christmas time, we let in light and we banish shade', is his. Band Aid 20 was the collective name for the 2004 version of the song Do They Know It's Christmas? The name comes from the fact it was the 20th anniversary of the original version's release.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
The Oracle must be on the late shift tonight... April 8, 2009 - submitted by Rebecca, United States of America Q. Hello Oracle! I'm a first-time questioner so do forgive me if this question has already been asked/a complete waste of your time. I went to the Nov. 1 concert in Philadelphia not really knowing many Coldplay songs. It was my first concert, and I was completely mesmerized the entire time! It was the most incredible thing I have ever seen on stage! Ever since, I have been completely obsessed and in love with Coldplay and their music. The concert really did inspire me. It made me start thinking that I really wanted to be involved in the music world when I grow up, but I don't play an instrument. I really wish I could, but I don't even know if I could even begin to delve into that. What are some cool behind-the-scenes jobs in the music industry that maybe don't involve performing? The Oracle replies: There's a really easy to read book available that gives you some useful insights into what jobs you can procure within the business. How To Make It In The Music Business, written by Sin Pattenden is concise, practical and good value. Obviously there are many more as well as articles online. You can buy Sin's book on Amazon as well as in shops.
