Last yr there were 2000 copies of Up With the Birds/UFO for RSD worldwide... so......

Sorry - that was me! Actually had an auto-bid on another listing, but just happened upon that one by chance and bought it immediately.... The main record store chain participating in RSD closed their location 5 minutes from my house. Didn't want to drive/subway down to the nearest location on Saturday. VIP card holders had an hour to themselves before the regular store opening....so I most likely would have gone home empty handed on Saturday.

How "limited" will this release be? I remember how there was that big deal in 2010 when EMI/Parlophone only released 1000 copies of Blur's "Fool's Day" But when I was checking my local record store today, I saw it bundled with other Parlophone artists in a special Record Store Day 6 pack for only 13.99... and that 6 box set was supposedly limited to 3000 copies. so I'm wondering if there's other EMI/Parlophone artists with RSD specials... and if EMI/Parlphone will bundle them up in a 5/6 disc box set again.

Oh yeah, like to thank the good soul who offered us her extra wristband. I had a wristband and was waiting in that line on Richmond with a friend who didn't have one. Just as my friend was about to leave to find a place in the general area... said stranger offered us her extra wristband cuz she overheard our convo.

FYI... I was the one who started the VLV chant pre-show just as the female VJ was going on-air on the live stream....

Per Much's official twitter: "Didn't get a wristband? Thx to the overwhelming response, we're gonna shut down Queen St on Weds! So come on down to watch." And the security folks repeated the same thing when I was in line this morning.

They're closing down Queen St for the show... But I'd still like an additional wristband to be inside the lot w. a friend!

Can someone clarify the time of the actual concert... cuz on the Much FB page, the moderator says: "Yep, live on-air (and commercial free!) for the full hour - 9ET/6PT." But ppl here say the concert is between 6-8pm... i.e., pre-taped for its 9pm TV timeslot.... *confused*

I'm lining up on Sunday... it'll be like that Coldplay @ eTalk lineup all over again... but in more pleasant weather....

It'd be so much easier if it was like the free tix to eTalk in 2008.... just email ctv to get on the guestlist and line up in person before the taping to get a wristband.

It was a promo with Best Buy during X&Y's release (though I bought mine on eBay)... red one for Speed of Sound and blue for X&Y... anyway... here's my costume....

I did the Chris Martin jacket for my Halloween party... w. the red V shirt... a Speed of Sound bracelet, a Make Trade Fair bracelet... and my Rock Band guitar to bring it altogether... too bad only 1 person recognized who I was :-P

If they're doing eTalk again.... this time I'm getting a signature! :D

An in-studio interview. Just aired locally. I guarantee it will be uploaded by someone shortly. I wish I brought my VLV record... would have been smack in front of Johnny's face and he would have signed it :-P

I attended the eTalk session. I was in the standing section behind the hosts. I was disappointed that none of my swag signed, and I was just an arm's length away from both Chris and Johnny. Whenever I attend these junkets (Muse, Travis, Ian Brown, etc.) i have no problem getting autographs... The guy sitting in front of me had like 3 items signed Ben Mulroney's a tool. What was with his hair questions... and incessant make up during the commercial break....

I assume the eTalk taping is at 3, b/c Chris + Jonny are on MOD (again) later that day. So wristbands are probably available for that appearance too.

Sounds great. Just like Goldfrapp touring with the band for one leg last time around

I love it. It was channeling the Stone Roses' Fools Gold video... Same volcanic, desolate look of the band wandering the cliffs, filmed with a purplish tint.

I was watching this old Canadian entertainment show called eNow late 2000 or early 2001. They were doing some "Cool Britannia" edition (3 or 4 years later I might add) where the hosts went to London. They did an interview with Chris Martin. In retrospect, it was an odd choice for the show, since this was a mainstream entertainment show like Entertainment Tonight and the band was not on the Canadian radar at all. Anyway, they showed a clip of Yellow and I was hooked right there.

the timing's really bad so meh.
