  1. I don't think they're that big over here, most of my friends either haven't heard of them, don't like them, or have only heard a couple of songs. Where I live it's Lil Wayne and country music. I would say the biggest bands in the U.S. are the Jonas Brothers, Nickelback, and Fall Out Boy.
  2. Interesting, I've gotten a lot of spiritual messages from these songs as well, you pretty much nailed how I would describe the Christian messages in the songs. Is Chris Christian? I don't know, but what I do know is that I"ve gotten a lot out of the songs spiritually, and it's obvious there are some definite spiritual references. I especially like how you interpreted that part in Cemeteries of London, because that's how I've interpreted it. Lost! is a very uplifting song and the church organs go well with the spiritualism of the song for me personally.
  3. hahaha wow. that's pretty nice, a whole section!
  4. i bought the CD at wal-mart (jewel case by the way) and the CD was EXACTLY $10.00. :laugh3: i've NEVER seen that. but thanks for making it so cheap coldplay! :D if i had pre-ordered from amazon i would've paid at least the list price of $14.98 plus shipping & handling. i'm glad i waited. the only thing that ticked me off wuz that they had the camp rock soundtrack (which also came out today) in the very front of the music department but i had to go to the coldplay section to find the album. but oh well, the guy who checked the album out for me said it was amazing.
  5. i already can't stand him, but apparently he could be #1 this week instead of coldplay when the album comes out in the states. yeah, the music industry's in pretty bad shape... i saw where he sold like 1 million copies or somethin like that this week.
  6. Yeah, I got the same exact e-mail from iTunes Harm. They gave me two songs as well haha.
  7. Lost! will be the 4th single, but LiJ is already the 3rd.
  8. that picture goes well with my scarlett johannson picture.
  9. i heard a different interview then, cuz the guy was informed and asked good questions, and the question he asked about viva la vida was fair...and he even worried that he had said something wrong and will had to reassure him. i doubt chris would last 5 seconds on bill o'reilly's show haha.
  10. love americone dream, and also ben & jerry chocolate chip cookie dough...ever had cinnamon bun?? now that's wild haha.
  11. americone dream...yes, very unique. love the waffle cone IN the ice cream, nice.
  12. well i was embarassed by it, chris is acting like a kid, but i can barely understand this...he's sensitive, grew up getting picked on, and whenever he senses any criticism he brings the claws out. i hope he gets over that cuz he's gonna face it a lot more, but he kinda embarassed the other guys too. except will, he came out of it looking professional and level-headed. and thankfully guy and jonny weren't there.
  13. fyi, i love ben & jerry (especially colbert's ice cream) but i will never eat Obama's ice cream hahaha. and give the guy a break, he's just tryin to start conversation, he might be lonely. go listen to their music, then come back and tell us what u think.
  14. i downloaded the interview...it has more than bbc had but really bbc's not missing much. and actually i take back what i said about chris sounding sad at the end...i could hear him snicker a bit as he was answering the question. this is not a side of chris i'm used to... and i like how will reassured the interviewer that he did nothing wrong, will must have realized chris was in a pissy mood.
  15. maybe so, but chris had that tone of sarcasm the whole interview...and when he got will to answer one of the first questions...he just sounded disinterested the whole time.
  16. alright, i've listened to the entire interview. chris had a diva moment, that's for sure. the way he said it was sarcastic-like and i didn't hear anything that should warrant that response...even the comments before-hand were not at all meant as a slam against chris or coldplay in general, and when chris accused the guy of trying to twist his words i didn't see where he got that from. maybe, when he came back and answered the last question, he sounded somewhat remorseful, or maybe just annoyed. but i'm disappointed by how he acted. i'm glad will was able to keep his head and he gets a lot of respect from me from having to clean up after chris sometimes. but, the interviewer did nothing wrong. and as everyone else said, chris seemed annoyed from the very beginning so you gotta hand it to the interviewer for trying to at least rephrase some of the things he was saying when he saw that it bothered chris, when in reality he didn't have to. anyways, bad day for chris, and he's going to get some diva comparisons for sure...will comes out looking better in my book, tho. hopefully chris will be more up for "talking about things" next time he has an interview...
  17. dude, this is not gonna help the "coldplay is gay" image...lol.
  18. the interviewer wasn't bad at all...what the heck?? what the freak was wrong with chris? was he just in a pissy mood or what? wow, i have to agree with everyone who's saying this was over-the-top...that was just weird.
  19. 200,000 in 1 day is pretty good...can't wait to see US sales figures. 3 doors down sold 138,000 copies in their first week and they're a pretty big band...not as big as they used to be, but still pretty big. i say it should sell at least 500,000+ in the first week. at least.
  20. oh my gosh, i've always known chris was a little more sensitive than the average guy, but he needs to grow a pair...the reaction is not to walk out like he's about to go cry in the corner, but if it's that bad he could've just told the interviewer off and then been done with it. which is prbly why will stayed because he didn't see a problem with the questions and knew that it would look bad for coldplay to just get up and walk out during an interview. chris has gotta be able to handle criticism...for the first time i'm a little embarassed by his actions. but i understand he's under a lot of pressure, so i'll cut him some slack. but what's the deal with not showing up at all for radio 2? if they couldn't make it to all of them then why did they schedule all of these interviews. coldplay's gonna come out of this not looking too good...
  21. Wal-Mart will probably have the jewel case, more than likely. The one Jimmy Kimmel had looked like it.
  22. 42, it's a play on words by chris...as 42 is about death lol.
