  1. I would only see: The Black Keys The Naked and Famous John Butler Trio Wolfmother Operator Please Pnau Little Red Gypsy And The Cat Ew, mostly aussies.
  2. None of my brit bands on there. Disgraceful. And if they put them all in the 2nd announcement when it sells out I won't be happy. Don't know if its worth taking the risk. WTF does sydney have BDO on Australia day. This shows how backward this is.
  3. I will not be going unless the second announcement is decent. I'd rather go to laneway. The aussie acts were predictable. I only got 2 of the internationals right, most of that was a surprise. But SHITHOUSE omg there is nothing NEW in this lineup
  4. WOW I actually don't want to go to this big day out. There better be an EPIC second announcement. Not one band interests me.
  5. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-75vEQqnqI]YouTube - Andrew W.K. announces the 2011 Big Day Out music festival line-up[/ame]
  6. woops and I actually did. 26th my bad Site not loading but according to the Aus fb page heaps of people have seen the line up!
  7. Yeah interesting. The MA 15+ indicates something too.... cos I have seen people there under 15 with adults before And 21st is late as! Aus day is 24th so melb might be 3rd show this time
  8. 5 mins................................................
  9. I just hope tickets aren't selling for more than 150.
  10. Wow. That's not a bad turnout. Go Roosters I say, pretty decent effort going from last to first in one season
  11. My 2010 top albums list top 10 were: 1. Maximo Park - Quicken The Heart 2. Arctic Monkeys - Humbug 3. Passion Pit - Manners 4. White Lies - To Lose My Life 5. Kasabian - West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum 6. The xx - XX 7. Doves - Kingdom of Rust 8. Bombay Bicycle Club - I had the blues but I shook them loose 9. Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix 10. Florence and the machine - Lungs Prob keep the same. AM would go #1. Just rearrange the order a bit.
  12. If you saw my list you'd be slow.
  13. Hmm interesting, ARIA nominations, but they usually go for the generic crap. Fingers crossed they don't this year. That sounded awesome Grace. I am so pissed off the Wombats didn't sideshow but I guess they'll come back here once their album is done. How were Cut Copy's new songs? I have all my limbs crossed for Arcade Fire tonight. Anyone picking a smokey? Mine is The Kooks.
  14. I loved it! It's such a nice campus, got so much history, it's the most prestigious Uni in Melbourne, and so close to the city. I highly recommend it, all my friends go there too and my sister starts there next year. Let me know if you want any help with stuff. One word : Joke.
  15. And I realised recently that Arctic Monkeys never came here to tour Humbug properly. Dog act.
  16. Yeah the clues really didn't help. Just ruled out a few. I am going to stay up until midnight to see the announcement if anyone wants to chat here about it later
  17. BDO announcement in 26 hrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Hey Tania, I was at Melbourne Uni for the last 3 years doing a commerce degree there.... are you coming over?
  19. Contemporary Australian music...... Why isn't Little Red on that list? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSfSjkW5E6U]YouTube - Rock It - Little Red[/ame]
  20. Yeah well these BDO rumours are just getting pathetic. If Blink Headline, I will be elsewhere! It will be Bogan heaven.
  21. God I love how this band keeps us guessing.
  22. Hey Gang, sorry I havent been on for a while, Uni is killing me. Like for real. When I saw this forum got shut down I took it as a blessing because it used to be a bit of a distraction. But I checked tonight and it's back up. Interesting. Been following the BDO rumours which are getting rediculous. According to sources now, Tool are headlining and Arcade Fire and KOL are doing their own tours, not BDO. Can't wait to discuss the proper announcement. Just got HEAPS to do on assignments/exams/thesis before Oct 18 deadline. Only a month to go, woo! Oh and as for my upcoming gigs, I got some more recently: Oct 05 - Cloud Control Oct 23 - Boy & Bear Oct 29 - Powderfinger Nov 05 - Crowded House Nov 20 - Manic Street Preachers Dec 01 - U2 / JayZ (night #1) Dec 03 - U2 / JayZ (night #2) Dec 08 - Jack Johnson Dec 11 - Gorillaz Dec 14 - Muse EPIC And where the fuck is this new Coldplay record. Seriously.
  23. Yeah Rob McComb. Him and his brother were in the band. Unfortunately his brother, the lead singer, David, died.
