Girlfriend Sara MacDonald gave birth to Sonny Patrick on Friday, October 1. It's real.
  3. My faves: Radioactive, Pyro, Back Down South, Beach Side, Mary, My Birthday....
  4. Oh my god, Pyro is impressive. I really like this album.
  5. you'll get sued for that, Bryce :P
  6. I don't care for Adelaide, but it would be nice if Perth were represented. I feel sorry for them.
  7. I like the music, I think the hype that surrounds it is ridiculous, and will only give the bands short-term exposure rather than a steady increase over their careers.
  8. Great to hear that about B&B Grace, I'm catching them in a couple of weeks here!
  9. Lol at all these bands because they won't last
  10. Been following them for 2 years now. I think Big Echo was a terrible direction change, I loved Talking Through Tin Cans!
  11. Awesome. Their first album impressed me a lot and this is great news. They haven't rushed it either by all reports. It will be interesting to hear how their sound evolves.
  12. PS. Washington looks like she's gonna clean up according to Fasterlouder

DBTT is amazing, I would never skip a track.
  14. It's not that Australian music is crap, it's just that there are no obligations for Australian radio stations to play australian bands. For example in countries, they have rules where a certain %, say 30% in france, is local content. All we get here is radio gaga and pink.... BORING. But radio stations are in the business of making money and proven successes in the USA are going to continue to fill the airwaves instead of decent aussie bands because of it. Sad, really. Plus the goverment is stingy on giving out bandwidth or new licenses for radio so we're stuck with the current shit for a while until they do anything unfortunately.... Plus, chilmi is hot. I bumped into her last time I was in Sydney at The Rocks. HOTTIE! Oh yeah I hate her.
  15. FREAKY. I have a feeling most people didn't buy it at the time because they weren't massively dedicated back then like they may believe they are today. Note I said believe...
  16. I don't look at it as beachy at all. I think the surfer thing just clouds people's judgements.
  17. I'm keen to find out what Mike and Briggsy paid.
  18. I just realised, MR 54.90 is 18.35 aussie dollars. New releases are $18-$20 AUD here! Thats seems more normal.
  19. Wow that's crazy. I got it for $0 online because I knew I would buy the CD. And I did, because it is a quality album.
  20. If only that was the reason.
  21. Just been writing in an Assignment about people's valuation of music and the classic Radiohead case comes up in a lot I read about. I'm interested to find out what people paid for 'In Rainbows' when it was released as a a 'pay-what-you want' download? And would you change your initial decision based on your current judgement of the album? Did you buy the CD too?
  22. My ex went to that show, she said Kanye was atrocious. But she doesn't like his music, so...
