Just got home from the festival. Got crushed in the muse mosh, they headlined. But it was amazing. The Kasabian Gig on Mon night was BRILLIANT. Best crowd I have seen for a long time. They were getting right into it. Full review to come. A few things: Got an AWESOME bromance pic for you, and also the setlist was as usual minus a couple, like secret alphabets (which I liked off the album!... oh well)

Just got home. A MA ZING. Muse, Kisschasy and Temper Trap moshes almost killed me. Went in for muse when dizzy played, and it payed off bigtime. I saw them in the mosh, VERY front center. WOO its today. Went to Kasabian last night, everyone was MAD for it. Such a good show. Incredible, perhaps. Got home at 1:30am lol and prob to sleep at 2:30... so sleep deprived for today!

Well, here's the thing. I decided to not go to JET for two reasons: Oh, and my real name's Alex. 1. Better spot for Muse. I get there way earlier if I watch lily Allen. 2. Lily allen may never tour again. I have all the time in the world to see JET again, they're bloody locals. A fair enough explanation? Off to see Kasabian tonight in their sideshow. Going to be incredible.

Passion Pit and Horrors are not worth missing for the Decemberists!

Brilliant review! That definitely sounds like the true trials and tribulations that only the Big Day Out experience can provide. Sounds like you had an amazing day.. and you went in quite early for Muse. That is the only thing that worries me. Having gone to last year's big day out, It definitely helps, as I will know where everything is. And I am planning to be camped over by the green and converse stages all day until about 5:30, which will make things a lot easier logistically. Not taking a bag in - that was my big mistake last year, its just an inconvenience to carry around. It's gonna be 30 degrees with possible showers tomorrow, which sounds perfect. Even if I dont get into the D, last year we were on the edge of it, outside, and still got very good views of both stages. Considering I like powderfinger (and bernard fannings voice lol) and Muse a lot, this might be a good option if I miss out on the D. Once again, my plan for the day:

2,000 is pretty intimate, considering they play some huge venues in the UK!! Probably going to be near the front, so it should be an amazing gig.
