THIS HAS HAPPENED, DOWN THE ROAD FROM MY HOUSE IN STAXTON, NEAR SCARBOROUGH!!!!...:shocked2: Two people killed in coach crash The coach ploughed through a hedge after hitting the car A couple have died after their car was involved in a crash with a coach carrying youngsters to a marching band competition in North Yorkshire. The crash was on the A64 at Staxton near Scarborough on Sunday morning. The occupants of the car, a man and woman from South Yorkshire, died from their injuries, police confirmed. Six people were injured on the coach, which was carrying adults and children from Pelsall near Walsall to Primrose Valley holiday park in Scarborough. All had suffered minor injuries and four needed hospital treatment, police said. Two killed in A64 coach crash Det Insp Geoff Carey said that after hitting the car the coach crashed through a hedge and collided with an unoccupied Winnebago-style camper van parked in front of a house. "Had the Winnebago not been there the bus could have gone into the house," he said. "The coach was carrying a group of young people as well as adults and they are very shocked. "They have slight injuries but a great deal of shock." A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "We are unable to release any further information regarding the identities of the man and woman who died as we are in the process of notifying next of kin." The A64, a busy route to the coast, was closed in both directions at Staxton at the junction with the B1249. "There is a build-up of traffic in the area and we would advise motorists to avoid the area," the police spokeswoman added. She said the road was likely to remain closed until late afternoon.

UPDATE: TMZ has learned Travis Barker has been burned from the waist down, but he is expected to survive the plane crash. DJ AM's face was severely burned and is being tended to right now. We're also told the tragedy is all the worse because one of the passengers who died, Chris Baker, Travis' assistant on "Meet the Barkers," was married recently and has a new baby. Sources tell us Travis Barker and DJ AM saved their own lives after their plane crashed by jumping out the door of the burning plane, almost immediately after the small jet came to a halt. As we reported, both are at a burn center, but it could have been fatal. The Learjet was already on fire when they fled.

Former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker is in a 'critical but stable' condition after suffering severe burns in a plane crash that killed four others. The Learjet plane, which was carrying a total of six people, crashed just moments after taking off from Columbia, South Carolina, shortly before midnight on Friday. Barker managed to escape the burning wreckage of the aircraft before emergency services arrived, as did Hollywood's Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM, who was also on board. Two other passengers, named as Barker's assistant Chris Baker, 29, and security guard Charles Still, 25, were killed in the crash. Pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, and co-pilot James Bland, 52, have also been pronounced dead. William Owens, 60, who witnessed Barker and Goldstein's escape, told reporters: "I noticed two guys who were on fire and it looked like a dance: They didn't know what to do." Barker and Goldstein had performed together at a South Carolina college before boarding the plane, which was set to travel to Van Nuys, California. National Transportation Safety Board member Debbie Hersman has confirmed that an investigation is now underway. "We're working as fast as we can to document all the evidence," she said.
