yeah, a family friend of ours is actually the CEO of Apple... the only impressive connection that I have in my life, and it happens to be Beatles-related :lol: but yeah, I emailed him, and I think he was so impressed with my level of obsession with The Beatles that he arranged an internship :P

yeah :wacko: every day there was like heaven for me! :P the employees thought I was crazy, though, most of them weren't big Beatles fans... They purposefully try to avoid hiring crazy Beatlemaniacs :lol: I think so, I might be working somewhere in the Department of Education :)

yeah, my ultimate dream had been to go to Studio 2, and my supervisor at Apple arranged the trip for me as a surprise :nice: See, earlier in my internship we'd run over to Abbey Road on an errand, but we didn't go past reception and I was so disappointed :( So he called people up and all of Apple worked together to get me this tour :wacky: It was incredible- when I walked into Studio 2 I burst out sobbing :P It looks EXACTLY the same, and it's just so... historic :wacko: Here it is: and here's an unattractive picture of me playing the piano from, among other things, Lady Madonna and A Day in the Life: and I'm not sure how many pictures I should post of Apple cause I'm not sure they should be floating around the internet, but here's the reception area: (the company's really small, only about 15 people)

Bleh, Across the Universe (the movie) :sick: woohooooo! I haven't gotten to tell anyone about it in a while :D I had a 2-week internship with them :) I mostly helped out with merchandise and archives. I helped a lot with photographing and organizing their merchandise, because it's such a mess! They keep a copy of every single piece of merchandise in a storage center, and I got to go there and help them a lot which was super awesome! that's also where they keep some of the original recordings, and every photo, and the original films... so awesome :wacko: I can't post pictures of that stuff though, that'd be illegal :P oh, and at the end of my internship they let me go through the merchandise cabinets and take everything/anything I wanted, I ended up with over $1000 worth of merchandise :lol: but of course, the biggest thing was that they got me a personal tour of Abbey Road Studios with the manager of all of the Beatles projects :D I knew about the remasters before any of the public, which was awesome :P I went to all 3 studios, played John's and Paul's pianos in Studio 2, and met lots of important Beatles-Abbey Road-people. It was HEAVEN! *tries to cut myself off* but yeah, everyone at Apple was SUPER nice and gave me the most amazing stuff to do :wacko: I'll post some pictures, hold on :escaping:

I did, but I have a funny story about one of the kids :P yeah... well it doesn't really affect me negatively schoolwork-wise anymore :shrug: but like I've said to Marisa before, if you were friends with me in real life you probably wouldn't forget :thinking: not that I act differently than I do on here, but you'd still probably notice that I'm a bit... weird :P and if you knew more about my disability you'd defnitely be able to tell on here that I'm a textbook case :lol: well I AM proud of who I am with my LD... but yeah, it's good that I don't come across as messed up/insane :P

it's called Nonverbal Learning Disability... but I basically have Asperger's. I'm starting to come to the conclusion that I was misdiagnosed :\ yeah, I'm just gonna wait and see. I've started looking around at forums for people with ASDs, but I'm not sure if I'll actually join one :thinking: but at least now I'm not as petrified as I was about her "catching me" on here :shrug: just my New Year's story...

I was in the car with her, and we were discussing my learning disability, and I said to her how all I want is to talk to someone else who has it (it's really really rare so I've NEVER met someone else who had it/ever heard of it, really). So she said "well you know, you can do that on the internet... there are bulletin boards and stuff". So I was like ":o I thought you wouldn't allow me to go on stuff like that!" and she said "Well, I wouldn't let you MEET any of those people in person without me, in case they were sexual predators or something (:rolleyes:), but sure, you could use one of those, if I supervised you a little... not read what you write, but just see who you're talking to. I think it'd be good, actually." So I was SO CLOSE to telling her that I already HAD a forum and friends that I talk to, but I held off. I just couldn't do it... but still... :speechless: I was thinking of just showing her Darcy's facebook or something without telling her who she is, and once she agrees that Darcy looks like a good friend/cool and normal person, tell her that I met her over the internet :P I'd use your facebook but she "knows" about you now :shrug: I really don't know if I'll ever actually tell her, though :thinking:
