  1. I'm liking Lovers - like the jangly guitar very much. Does sound like old Coldplay - will make a good single too.
  2. Hmmm, not a big Radiohead fan me, so I can't really comment on RH comparsions but one word popped into my head on hearing 42 - Beatles. The piano and the backing 'oooohs' at the beginning are very beatle-y, tho that's not neccessarily a bad thing. I love the way it suddenly changes tempo. I think 42 starts a bit retro and very un-coldplay but then turns into very much a coldplay track but still sounds fresh and new. Not the best on the album but pretty good.
  3. I love the acoustic lost but on first play of the album lost I was blown away - the hand claps are brilliant and the guitar solo is very rocky. The chorus sounds way better on the album version, the the verses suit the acoustic style, so swings and roundabouts I guess. I just think it's great that Coldplay think it is important to give us two versions of the one song. :)
  4. I decided Yes would be my new fave coldplay song after I heard the youtube snippet and now hearing the whole album tonight, I know my first impression was spot on! Yes is really really good!!! The strings are lovely and the vocals are so dark and haunting. Love it. Not so fussed on Sleep Chant tacked on the end of it tho' - the drums on Sleep Chant are the only thing making it worth listening to. I don't think I can wait another week to have the album proper! :(
