  1. I was there, too! It was amazing! My personal highlight was the piano version of 'The Hardest Part' - sooo beautiful. Unfortunately, the sound was a bit crappy at times, as it usually is at this venue... Also, Chris' voice sounded like he has a bit of a cold or a sore throat, but he still sang beautifully. He said that the concert was being recorded for absolute radio, hopefully they'll put the whole thing online soon...?
  2. I'm going! To the concert, not the Octoberfest, that is.... I have seats somewhere, my friend keeps the tickets so I'm not sure but I think I remember her saying they're good seats! I'm soooo excited! I've kept away from the forum to not get a Coldplay-overload before the concert...
  3. The review is actually from his website http://www.chrisrock.com Funny no one checks the spelling on there! :D I couldn't agree more, I never get what all the comparing is about.
  4. Hmmm I'm 34 which is pretty old around here ;-), and of course I can only speak for myself, but I've never really cared what other people do in bed or who they have sex with. I know many gay people (from work), and they're just like everyone else - some are nice, some are stupid... I agree though that I know a few people around my age who would happily say that they have nothing against gays and each to their own etc, but would totally freak out if one of their kids turned out to be gay. I'm not sure about this either. While I do think that many gay men would probably make much better fathers than many straight men, I still think that a child should have a father and a mother, a male and a female person to grow up with. I think a big part of our society's problems these days it that so many children are being raised by a single parent, I'm a fan of the old-fashioned family I guess... :embarassed:
  5. Err sorry? When was the last time Germany won anything...?? Congratulations Spain!
  6. Hooray, someone is older than me... hm well, yeah, a couple of months but still... :D
  7. I could be your mother :shocked2::shocked2::shocked2:
  8. Fantastic performance! Well done. But... I think I should stop watching every little bit they're doing - I'm only going to see them live in September and I'll be SO fed up by then... And sorry but the outfits are beginning to get on my nerves... I mean, Jonny and Guy and Will look very good in theirs, but Chris's pants don't look very good to me... I'm beginning to find his jacket a bit annoying as well...
  9. Well thanks for outing yourselves everyone :D I feel much better now. Although I still don't know how old Rick is...
  10. What's really funny is how even a 'thread for old people' has been taken over by teenies talking about their future alcohol problems... :shocked2:
  11. Yeah, except he's wearing Adidas and Moses is wearing Pumas... lol! I have to agree with everyone who thinks pap pics shouldn't be posted... we all know Mr Martin hates the pap, we shouldn't support them by posting their pics... plus I feel weird when I see people I don't know personally in such private moments.
  12. Exactly... but sometimes it scares me that people who are younger than me are that talented and that successful.... :stunned: I was just trying to scare away all the teenies (no offense! you're all great!) and get the 'oldies' to post - plus I like to be ironic at times...
  13. Yes very nice to meet you, too, kami...kaze? Oh no oops, sorry! :D I might be 34 but I'm still blonde ;)
  14. That's very sweet of you - but also easy to say when you're 34/2 :D I don't feel like I'm old most of the time, but when I'm around younger people, I often get the feeling that they think 'what does this old woman want here'... haha! Thank god the Internet is not like that
  15. It's Sasa ;-) (that's what my godson used to call me) And yes I'm 34 (ooooold... NOT!) and yes I remember when I was 17 and thought alcohol didn't taste good... LOL! How come you teenies are still up? Are you not supposed to be in bed by now :P
  16. I noticed that most members on here seem to be pretty young, so I started wondering if maybe I'm simply to old to post on a fan forum, or are the 'old' people just hiding somewhere...?
  17. I had heard 'Trouble' and 'Yellow' first, but found them quite depressing... then winter came, and I was like 'bring on the blues' and got the album... I also loved 'Everything's not lost'. Then A Rush of Blood came out and I loved ALL the songs on it - my drive to work in the car was just as long as the album, so I would listen to it everyday on my way to work and back home. Then, just when X&Y came out, I couldn't stand listening to Coldplay any longer because of all the memories connected with their music. I actually got the album, but never listened to it. Two years later, 'Talk' was on the radio, and I thought 'I love that song, I should give it a careful try'... and it worked! So I was 'back on'. Sorry if that was sort of O/T :embarassed:
  18. Did you check out http://www.spreadshirt.com, they have hundreds of motives there that you could nick ;-)
  19. Ooooh. You mean BOYS. ;) Well you're gonna have to forgive him then, he's still in the middle of puberty and has got hormones rushing around his body like mad! It's not his fault that he can't think ;) Although I could give you quite a few examples of how that doesn't really change when men hit their 30ies. I would very much like to believe that not all men are thoughtless or stupid or whatever, I've just met so many who are like that! I work in an environment where I see many high-profile managers and successful business men on a daily basis, and the lack of social skills among them is often just unbelievable. Someone said 'think along the lines of Chris Martin' - well - I'd like to believe that he's a genuinely nice guy, but then I don't know him, and he could be a pain in the arse to live with as well :P
  20. What a game...!
  21. Well prove us wrong then :P
  22. I finally managed to watch it, it's amazing! I feel like I was there, too, lol! Do all of you who have been there realize how lucky you are!?! I'm so jealous! Looks like you all had a lot of fun there, and I'm afraid I'm in love with Chris, Jonny, Guy AND Will now... :D Ooops, that's all of them...
  23. I guess the problem with friendships between men and women is that you can never be quite sure what the guy's motives are... If he wanted to go out with you, he probably fancies you, and if you turned him down, he's probably hurt or his pride is hurt, and he is going to treat you bad for a while... He'll either get over it and focus on the friendship, or he only ever pretended to be your friend because he wanted you to be his girlfriend. It's happened to me several times...
