9 September 2009 - Goffertpark, Nijmegen, Netherlands
Hey all, Hope you enjoyed the gig. I'm off to see them tonight. Will be there early, around 13:30 Question though... at what time (approx.) were the front sections near the stage 'full'? My sister will be there around 16:00 hrs, and she wants to know if she can still get into the front?

It sure has.

I'm sure these songs will get a CD release eventually. As an EP perhaps, or b-sides.

Looking forward to this. And yes, they'd better play 'White Shadows' (instead of, say, 'Speed Of Sound'). I'm not gonna be there as early as some of you guys (9 AM, are you freaking kidding me?), but I'll definitely be there at the time the gates open (at 3 PM). Not sure if we'll be getting wristbands to be allowed in the front section of the stage. That would be great, because it's a long run and a boy (or girl)'s gotta eat and use the toilets. :)

Not confirmed, but with two singles coming out this month ('All For The Best' 7-Inch and 'Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses/The Hollow Earth' 12-Inch), plus the Age Of Stupid and Twilight's New Moon movies including Thom Yorke contributions coming up... I wouldn't be surprised that a solo album will pop up soon. But at least we'll be getting a bunch of material coming up. Very exciting if you ask me. Can't wait.

Damn, they really are swiping Youtube aren't they? I wonder if EMI's behind it, or the band themselves...

The Oasis Thread
Oasis is not dead. It only suffered a severe brain seizure this week. However, the brain might be damaged but the body is not.

Radiohead
I'm sure it will be up on some torrent sharing site by tomorrow. BBC3 only broadcasted 1 hour of the 2 hour set. 11 songs have been shown on TV, out of the 23 song set.

Hoping for a surprise 2nd encore with a massive surprise song.

Me too. I mean, could be the last time in quite a while to actually see Radiohead onstage. Then again... you'll never know. But they (the band) are pretty lazy, so I don't expect any gigs anytime soon. Say, at least a year or so.

Pity BBC3 skipped These Are My Twisted Words... Would've been nice to actually see it live.

Noel Gallagher quits Oasis
http://www.oasisinet.com/NewsArticle.aspx?n=773 A STATEMENT FROM NOEL 28 August 2009 "It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer. "Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."

Manic Street Preachers
I'll be seeing them in about 1 1/2 weeks. Damn, it's been ages since I last saw them. I think it was 2001 or something.

Radiohead
Good for you!! Wow, the first time I listened to that album (in 1997)... I must admit it honestly turned my (then) quite horrible musical taste completely upside down. You might call it life-altering, yes. That's why it remains my favourite album of all time.
-
Your favourite 5 bands at the moment... in no order are...
Wow, that's quite... how should I say it... the odd couple there.

Nah, he's mentioned him in the past. As well as his (Andy) bandmate Nigel Powell (who actually taught Jonny how to play guitar, no shit) Though it's been a while, I must say. For instance, when Unbelievable Truth were dropped by Sony/BMG Thom was quoted saying he was very angry with them (Sony) and how his brother and his bandmates had been treated. Andy released a solo album last year, and it's quite decent. But granted, I prefer Unbelievable Truth's early years.
