I don't think that's necessarily true. You can definitely be in love with someone online... online relationships can actually have stronger initial connections that certain in person relationships, I think... if that makes any sense.

I don't think age is really a big difference, if you're old enough/mature enough, and as long as the people truly love each other. My dad recently married someone who is 14 years younger than him, and they now have one of the strongest relationships I've ever seen. As long as you're not a minor, dating someone like 10 years older, I think it's acceptable and okay.

I'm so sorry to hear that. A very close friend of mine (an internet friend, too) commited suicide after we had talked for almost two years... it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through. I'm just glad your friend is alive, and I hope she starts feeling better about the world soon. :worried2:
