Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! :) @mc_squared: I live in the South, near to the Lake Constance if that says something to you. :)
  2. It's really lovely to find a thread about James here, too. As I should say he's my favourite artist and I'm totally addicted to his music and the man himself. It was back in June '05 when everybody was talking about a guy named James Blunt and his song "You're beautiful"... It was not until I'd listened to his album when I understood what all that hype was about. ;) I didn't even consider to buy the album right away but listened to it in the store and bought it as I thougt the songs were quite nice. A few weeks later I read that he'd give a gig in a city quite near to the place where I live and I just asked a friend whether she wanted to come with me, not even taking it too seriously at first. But I now believe that getting this ticket was one of the best decisions I've ever made so far and the concert somehow changed my life. ;) It was actually my first concert ever and I'd expected a lot but not that I'd be totally blown away by the beauty of live music. So it's no wonder I've been set on fire from that moment on. ;) Well, enough about the story about how I got into his music... ;) Until now, I've seen the man and his lovely band 7 times already and I feel really lucky that I got so many opportunities as these days were one of the best days in my short life. :D I've even "met" him briefly after a gig last March but the poor guy's been terribly hassled by the mob, so I feel lucky enough I could hand him a letter. But maybe I'll get a chance to talk to him after one of the other four gigs I'll be attending this year... Has anyone of you guys met him already? Is there anybody thinking about attending a gig of the second leg of the ATLS tour 2008? By the way, *Sarah*, I totally agree with you. ;)
  4. Ooh, Travis are apart from Coldplay and Keane one of my favourite bands! I think I've discovered them sometime last year, although I'd of course heard bits of "Why does it always rain on me?" or "Sing" before. Then I got their album "The Boy with no name" as a present and I just couldn't stop listening to the songs for ages... Now I've got all of their albums and I think it's a pity I haven't paid more attention to them earlier. My favourite songs are "My Eyes", "Side" and "The Last Laugh of the laughter"... I'm already looking forward to a new album. :)
  5. How nice to find a topic about musicals, too. I love musicals! :) The first musical I've seen was "Dance of the vampires" back in 2005 and I've been suffering from a serious addiction to musicals in general since then. :laugh3: Apart from that musical, I've also seen "Elisabeth", "3 Musketeers", "Mamma Mia!", "Wicked", "We will rock you!" and "Blue Man Group" (if you can count it as a musical). But my favourites are still the vampires, although I really like "Elisabeth" and "Wicked" quite a lot, too. WWRY's been petty great as well, just a bit different. But as it's going to come to Stuttgart in November I'd like to see it again. I've also got another ticket for "Wicked" in July and I'm really looking forward to it. :) Other musicals I'd love to see one day would be "Cats", "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Rebecca"... Has anyone of you guys already seen it perhaps?
  6. Well, I actually don't listen to German artists that much... The only ones I like would be Clueso, Sportfreunde Stiller and Wir sind Helden. I do like the latter a lot, though. I've enjoyed listening to them ever since the release of "Denkmal", which I think is one of the best German songs ever! Apart from that song, I really love "Außer dir", "Von hier an blind" and "The geek (shall inherit)". It's a shame I've never had the chance to see them live yet... :(

Hiya, I've only discovered this lovely messageboard by accident and it seemed to be quite nice here, so I thought I might join you! :) I'm Ella, turning 18 in some weeks and I live in Germany. I should say I'm quite new to Coldplay as I've only discovered their music about less than a year ago. I of course had heard of them before but I'd never really paid more attention to them... Until I heard "Yellow" for the first time! I was totally blown away by the very first tunes already and I DO believe it's one of the most beautiful songs in the world! From that moment on, it didn't much time until I was absolutely fallen in love with almost all of their songs and I'm even more set on fire since the release of the new album! Two days ago, their gig at the Brixton Academy was played in the radio and now I wish I could see them live in September... If only the tickets weren't sold out already... :( Well, maybe there'll be another chance for the ones who couldn't make up their mind in time and who simply were too slow. Like me... Anyways... I hope we'll have a good time together and talk to you soon! Cheers, Ilione
