Yes, if he or his family is on what used to be the only phone network, I can look up things for you. If he is on the new providers, then there is no public listing. PM me if you want. Oh btw Carla (Carlaatje) is from near Rotterdam, she might have ideas for you.

Hello 2732 I live in Amsterdam. Do you have any specifics as whereabout your friend might be ?
  3. I think that Coldplay's most positive thing today is that they have grown (up) instead of dying, like so many talented, hypersensitve artists we love(d) have unfortunately done. It says a lot about their strength.

  13. I like very much what you write, and how you write Dan. About China, my uncle has been there before the olympics, they call him laowai, and he had a great time with the people. (He is 65 years and went around with a backpack.) When you say it is affecting, do you mean it is moving, touching ?
  14. wow Dan, What you said about emotions is so important. We get lost in them and yet we want to feel them, even the painful ones, as if we were these emotions. They are useful to connect with people, and to recognize what's going on inside us,as a sort of non verbal language, but they are not all what life is about. Love in that extent is more a life energy that a simple emotion that we would feel or not. And music can carry a lot of emotions, but indeed, as is the case with VLVODAAHF, it can carry much more meaning, and healing, as it appears with the fact that the album seems to "grow" on people at every listening. I am so grateful for your input Dan from China. In this time of official harmony..:sunny: This thread is great !
  15. I loved the album from the start, and saw it as a "concept" album. To the point that I cannot hear Viva la Vida outside of its context of central pillar to the album (I hate hearing it on the radio in the supermarket or so.) Violet Hill works better as a single imo. Reminiscent of Stereophonics "Maybe tomorrow" and surpassing it. Yes was immediately noticeable for me because of the Velvet Underground chords and theme. I was so happy they gave us some of the hypnotic Venus in Furs back, with a much happier view on sex and temptation. And indeed the more I listen to the album the more I enjoy it even after ther 100th time, every song very strong in its own right. I must say I am also glad to have Lost and LiJ accoustic as outro in my mp3. The lyrics are also as top quality as ever from start to end.

  18. Bye Tarkovsky, so long, great film maker name.
  19. Kimchi is brillant , with words and feelings, touching just the right chord.
  20. You're my man Kimchi :nice:
  21. I also completely agree with you guys. Lots of passion always, brought out in a different way. On the Yoko line, why not bring in Courtney Love while we're at it? ;) What is so positive (and mature) about Chris and Coldplay is that they know how to not make the same mistakes as their predecessors at the top of universal succes. I trust them to surround themselves with the best .. energies :)
  22. Indeed, no debate here.
  23. Come on Pallavai, may I be the old aunt around here ? You sound like you might just be jealous.. it cannot be useful to be so negative. Dont you know Chris would prefer separating for a moment from his family rather than lose the band ? Dont you know all what he already has done for Coldplay ? And keeps saying at every occasion that he has the best job and will keep playing music as long as them 4 boys have the friendship going. Please Pallavi leave that woman alone, she is nothing but good.
