I think Jonny too. Whatever the case, I hereby volunteer to be the impartial beard-testing judge should such a contest ever be held. Judging will be based on three distinct criteria. Which I'm going to keep to myself for now. :wink3:

I'm looking at the new banner and it made me wonder... If the guys had a beard-growing contest, who would win?

We never got to listen to music in school, either... until I got to college art school and had to endure whatever my professor wanted to listen to, which was either country or this very strange... I don't even know how to classify what my other prof put on. It was bizarre. At least now I have a job where I can listen to my own music all day. I highly recommend it. We have a system at work that allows everyone to share their iTunes libraries on the main server, which is actually how I discovered Coldplay in the first place, just after starting the job. I had the X&Y album previously but had never listened to Parachutes or Rush of Blood (besides the hits, of course and a couple others a friend had sent me). But my supervisor had all three albums and I was like :o Oooooh this is great!! I was hooked within the week. Six months later Viva La Vida came out and now here I am. :) That got kinda long and rambling, but this is the Random Thoughts thread, after all.

Well, I can understand even a fan not knowing... I mean unless you're actively checking out their website or have them on your Facebook or something, why would you expect a second tour? And I believe her exact words when I told her were ":oHOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS:o" so I think she counts as a huge fan. ;) And the friend who thinks seeing the same band twice is a different person--my old college buddy who went to the KC concert with me. :) Sorry if I made that confusing.

For the very first time tonight I met another Coldplay fan in REAL LIFE! I was out with a group of people I'd never met (except for one) and we were talking about the superbowl halftime show and what other bands might be good for it. This girl suggested Coldplay but her husband said they weren't "rock" enough, and I replied "well it's not like they're not going to play The Scientist," and she laughed and instantly went into a mimed piano version of the intro, and I KNEW she was a fan. (who else could pull up The Scientist melody on cue?) Turns out she's a huge fan, downloaded the Violet Hill single the instant it was available, but didn't know about the second round of North American shows! Hopefully she'll be able to find tickets, but I told her she's my backup if my friend decides not to go. (She's still on the fence because she thinks seeing the same band twice in one tour is silly. Can you believe that?)

Okay, ladies... lean in close and cross your eyes... GUY in 3D! It... sorta works for me, but I've always been terrible at these things. I can't even see MagicEye. I am nearly blind in one eye though. Does it work for anyone? ;)

I tried putting these side-by-side and looking at them cross-eyed to see if I could see Guy in 3-D but it didn't work. :\

Glass of Water. I was just singing that on my drive home and it reminded me of singing it during the concert which made me really happy. :)

Oh, I didn't misread. I meant I am glad you got a seat on the bus in ADDITION to your good concert seat! :D ...when you storm out of your usual chat hangout because someone wouldn't drop the whole "Viva La Vida" plagiarism thing. :\ I totally just stormed out.

Wow, I'm glad you got the bus seat, too! To contribute: ... when you spend the first hour and a half at work trying to get tickets and now have to go in early on Monday to make up the time, but don't care! :D Also when you risk getting in trouble by printing them out on the company's $30,000 color printer. My tickets look REALLY good. :)

Haha, so did I. I only found three that weren't all trampled on, though. While looking for butterflies I also found $5, which we used to help pay the cab fare back to the hotel! :D

Ooh, I hope so! In KC we were out of reach of the butterflies. They were directly overhead but the draft pulled them all away! A few came within a couple feet of my outstretched fingertips but I caught none! This time I'm bringing my NET from entomology class! YEAH!!

Row FF upper left center, here. If I'd waited half an hour I could have gotten U in the lower Right section. :\ Oh, well. ... if this is an outdoor venue how are they going to drop the butterflies during Lovers in Japan?!

Keep trying! I was only getting ZZ (the last row before lawn) but after a couple more refreshes, row FF opened up. Not sure how it happened! :stunned:

Oh! Fantastic! :D Where did you find a map that showed that? The one on the website is virtually unreadable. I'm a little sad, though. I was already starting to imagine what my new friend in seat #48 would be like. Oh well. :rolleyes:

Wow, the tickets for MO went fast. I refreshed too many times and watched the available seats go from row MM to row ZZ in 10 minutes. Then something in FF opened up and I was in such a rush, I didn't notice my two seats are 47 and 49!! How did that happen? :confused: I hope whoever has seat #48 will be able to switch with me when the time comes! WEIRD.
