In light of this, do you think they'll perform Viva La Vida at the awards? I was originally hoping to hear one of their less-played (Strawberry Swing?!), but I'm starting to think playing VLV would be a good way to say to Satriani that hey, this is OUR song.

I have absolutely no idea how to authenticate it, but if it is fake, I'm hoping it'll at least be obviously so. :/

Wow!! I have something I call "Concert Curse" because a few times I have missed concerts or almost missed concerts because of one thing or another. For example, my bathroom exhaust fan exploded 10 minutes before we were to leave for Death Cab, but I did make it to that one. Anyway, I was so extremely uptight about missing Coldplay that I had a nightmare the night before that on our 7 hour drive to Kansas City, the ground opened up in front of us and created a gigantic chasm of lava. That didn't happen, but what did happen was my car's engine light turning on an hour out of KC. I was close to tears and completely freaking out. Longest hour of my life. Turned out to be some car diagnostics in my engine's computer had expired. What a time for it to happen!! So I made it to my concert. Glad to hear you made it to yours as well. And now to sing, I guess. To whatever comes up next on shuffle. Here we go. Well it looks great. I especially love the scribbled-on orange part near the fretboard. I see you used regular craft acrylics... did you varnish it with anything after that?

Does the paint effect the sound of the guitar at all? I'm tempted to do this as well but that's my biggest worry.

Yup! It says "INTERVIEW" int he X&Y code. Not selling but maybe in a couple years when/if this obsession wears off, I'll put the whole mother load up on eBay. I do have an extra Talk single I'm thinking of getting rid of, because I originally bought one without Gravity and then found one with. That one is definitely not hard to find though. ... anyone know how to tell if a copy of Safety EP is legit? I'm eyeing one now but not sure if it's for real. The starting price is too good to be true so I'm feeling cautious and skeptical. :\
