I know , I understand what you say, but for me, especially cause I am in a band and hope to have videos one day (soon I hope :) ) for songs that I choose to be accompanied with videos, I think that they should be artistic and powerful. Not just random... Like PoC and Charlie Brown...

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't want a video where Chris is sexy... That's why I was pissed, he is trying so hard to be some kind of machoman now,following the steps of Justin Timberlake or whoever. OK, they want to have fun and they enjoy the populartiy, but I am afraid that the band might be losing it. They need to get a grip before the next album, seriously.

I respectfully disagree. It is more likely that Radiohead will leave their mark in music history than Coldplay. What they do with music is rather revolutionary. And I swear I am not speaking this cause I like them. Their approach to music is incredibly thoughtful and innovative. I think this is completely irrelevant.

The song quality is also one of the criteria that makes Radiohead better.

I hate how they agreed with the press saying shit about X&Y. That is just damn conformist.

I love Coldplay to death , but they will never be better than Radiohead. Radiohead is beyond amazing, their originality and talent is miles ahead of Coldplay. Don't hate me.

I still find it their weakest album.

The thing I don't like is what the band said - They wanted Charlie Brown to be the 2nd single, and then they said that they want to "risk it" with Paradise... Come on, seriously now? They only just played it safe.

It is and it isn't just you. Commercial music has always been about the catchy melodies and appealing lyrics, but I just can't help comparing today's popular music to the popular music of preious decades. In my humble opinion, 90% of today's hits are disastrous. Not to mention that they are all made by a scheme, it's like today's artists (and many of these have already had sucess with decent to great songs) just go to a hitmaker and order what kind of song they want. Let's compare pop music's great hits through decades... Take a few 'club bangers' ... Off the top of my head... 80's - Michael Jackson - Billie Jean 90's - Rickie Martin - Livin' La Vida Loca 00's - Kylie - Can't Get You Out Of My Head 10's - LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It Nobody can tell me that the effort and thought put in the LMFAO song is equal to the ones above. Not to mention originality.
