  1. Whenever I see POTP I think about Power of the People first.
  2. There haven't been any color songs since MX, right? OK, Color Spectrum was there if you count that.
  3. I really risk being called out for being too negative, but I am unfortunately certain that they will follow the crowd... I hope at least there will be 2-3 songs that I like. I can't stand Higher Power, I think it is abysmal. Mind you, I love 90% of their stuff. I think Everyday Life was their best album since Viva. But this... God, I hate everything about Higher Power... Human Heart sounds OK.
  4. The music video is impressive, holy wow... I can't stand Chris' dance though, he looks ridiculous. ? I generally hate this song with a passion, there is not a thing that I like about this song. But the video, wow. Minus the dancers, I think that this would have been a perfect video for Hurts Like Heaven.
  5. Oh and why did they not put out something inspired by the 80s before? Coincidental they should it now, isn't it? I support them and will, but they have sold out so many times, I am starting to feel very annoyed about it.
  6. I did not say they were not nice. I just feel sorry because they have apparently become puppets of their record company and they do what is expected from them by the masses.
  7. I am not arguing, I am just being realistic. Unlike many people. ? Go check any of my posts about Everyday Life if you think I am a basher.
  8. They sure love the money they get from the songs. Listen to the lyrics of Higher Power and tell me they are not embarrassing? Can't they keep any standard? This whole thing just proves my Quote below is true.
  9. I don't mind it being pop. Stop mixing pop and generic. This is utter crap. They wanna make it? Fine. Let them be. They are turning into fucking clowns, if you ask me. Chris is 43 years old. Making music for teenagers and writing embarrassingly bad lyrics. It is so obvious that they make one album that they want and another album for filling up stadiums. Because THIS is what sells. It is fascinating how ppl refuse to see this very fact. Oh, and they don't try to fit in lol yeah right. Take the biggest producer and do the 80s vibe = not trying to fit in. Ridiculous.
  10. I can't believe you guys actually believe this song is heartfelt. This is generic trash made for the masses. If you want something genuine from the band, listen to Everyday Life. The album. I rest my case.
  11. No pal, they are not confident. It is rather the opposite. They go with the mainstream, guitar is not seen as appealing with the masses and kids who listen to this kind of music. They are very much trying to fit in, desperately. I wish people were a little bit more realistic with this.
  12. Viva la Vida is a bloody masterpiece, especially compared to this garbage we have today.
  13. Yet you don't seem to mind that they are releasing Mylo Xyloto 3.
  14. What a terrible song in every aspect. I can't stand it. It is embarrassing. Loved Everyday Life and I just knew the next thing would be shit. Hope I am wrong when it comes to the album... But I doubt it.
  15. Those of you who despair over Coldplay not being top in the charts, don’t. Because it is clear that theyade this album for the sake of music, and not success on charts. And I am more than happy for that.
  16. I think this might be my favorite Coldplay song since Viva la Vida. They did an absolutely amazing job here.
  17. mainstream is not equal to making music somebody expects from you. I feel like there is too much pressure on them now that they are the biggest band in the world. I just want them to make music THEY want and not what the world wants from them.
  18. Of course this will be the case. And in this consumerist world we live in where music is primarily an INDUSTRY for earning MONEY I am not surprised at all by the record company so blatantly and shamelessly yearning for new album - > a commercial one which will bring millions of dollars... Am I the only who one who sees this as disrespectful towards the artists? I swear, I am now 100% sure that Coldplay HAS to make commercial albums and this is a part of the compromise - > an album for their soul, followed by an album for their pockets and their greedy 'bosses'. Sad, but at least we get beautiful music like this still on Everyday Life - and it gives me hope that after their prime has gone, they will still make wonderful music together because I swear they got so much that we have not even heard, and might never even hear. Their talent is immense, and beyond Billboard junk. The next album will be 100% dumb-mass-appealing, just wait and see. It will be even more garbage than AHFOD (God I hate that album with a passion, I like Birds and Fun only.)
  19. Well deserved if you ask me... I can safely say it is their best work since Viva la Vida.
