It's a shame they couldn't drop down to San Diego and play a show here. I've heard the new album and the songs are really good, especially Under Control where The Strokes do "soul". To me the album is a bit short with just 11 songs that run about 2 minutes long, and almost half of the songs aren't exactly new (they played a majority of them frequently on their previous tour) but it is good.

I went to see them in San Diego at the RIMAC Arena. Unfortunately, I didn't make it in time to catch the Soledad Brothers play. I made it just in time to see the YYY's play their last two songs but it's cool. I had already seen them two times prior. While The White Stripes' crew was setting up their gear, they played lots of old cartoons like Betty Boop and what not which really got the crowd annoyed after the fourth or fifth cartoon. Finally the White Stripes came on and played a magneficient show. It was fantastic and was about an hour and thirty mintues long. I'm glad I caught them play.

"The End of Soft Rock" doesn't necessarily mean Coldplay will jump to "Hard Rock" or "Metal". I'm sure their music will just become more a rockin' but still have lots of melody but I hope they add a couple of soft rock songs. Gravity HAS to be on the new album.

So does anyone know the guitar tablature to Easy To Please? It's one of my favorite songs and I really want to know how to play it on the guitar.

It sound so good backwards. It's almost like a different song. I'm kinda tempted to write lyrics to the backwards version and see how it sounds. The melody sounds so good backwards as well as forwards!

No :/ :/ :/ I bury paul?!?! :angry: Now im more confused than ever!! *mumbles inconcerently* a day in the life is also on the blue album 1967- 1969? :confused: You're right. Strawberry Fields Forever does have that part in near the end where John Lennon says "Cranberry sauce" and it ends up sounding like he said, "I buried paul". On A Day In the Life, all of the lyrics have connections to the Paul Is Dead myth. If you listen to the lyrics to A Day In the Life, it is strangely close to the facts to the Paul myth.

Oh yeah.. finally a thread for The Cure. Boys Don't Cry.. A Forest.. ooohh yeah!
