Eh ben, y avait pas tous ces détails dans la wikipage !! Tu les as trouvés où ? Voici ce qui est écrit sur la wikipage : 'The recording sessions for The Blue Room were tumultuous. Martin kicked Champion out of the band but later pleaded with him to return and due to his guilt, Martin (a self-proclaimed non-drinker and non-smoker) went on a drinking binge. Eventually, the band worked out their differences and put in place a new set of rules to keep the group intact. First, the band declared an all-for-one approach: Coldplay was a democracy, and profits were to be shared equally, taking a page from bands like A-ha, U2 and R.E.M. Second, the band would fire anyone who used hard drugs.'

That's a pretty interesting Q&A... Martin, I urge you to reveal your identity and explain to us how you discovered this information... :wink3: ;) Who's this guy who could have signed Coldplay 11 years ago? Maybe some others Coldplayers know?

September 18, 2009 - submitted by lLsa, United States of America Q. I'm not a big fan of this term, but "OMG", you guys must be flipping out! There are only 2! *^&%'ing concerts left on the tour!!! I'm slightly embarrassed to say that over the year-and-a-half I saw 4 of the concerts, and they were all memorable for different reasons. It's a bit sad knowing there is not another one to look forward to...well I suppose I am looking forward to the next album and tour - a whole new ball game. What happens to you, Dear Oracle? Will you continue to answer questions? Will you dig into the stash of unanswered questions from the past year? The Oracle replies: We will all return after the weekend as usual so keep checking back. I will of course be delving into my substantial archive of questions but you'll still be able to ask new ones. See you all on the other side of the mammoth Wembley shows. To all who are attending, have a great night and stay safe!

September 18, 2009 - submitted by Simone, Germany Q. Hi clever Oracle! My question refers to the crew. are all of them British or are they composed of different nations? Love, S. The Oracle replies: The crew is international. Obviously there are many British crew members but a tour of this size requires so many people, they're from all over.

September 18, 2009 - submitted by Alison, United Kingdom Q. Dear Oracle. I am currently listening to the Glasgow concert on Radio 1. Did we upset Jay-Z in Manchester as he did not come out and sing on Lost like I have just heard on the Radio. I feel disappointed that he did not do this at Old Trafford. The Oracle replies: It would have been amazing and I even had my camera ready to film the moment if it happened but as you know, it didn't. Disappointing as it was for 'us' listening to Glasgow hearing Lost+ in its glory we have to remember Jay had a very tight schedule that weekend that saw him in NYC the following evening at the VMAs so it just wasn't possible in Manchester. At least we can listen online to the Radio 1 show and enjoy it over and over. It was a real goosebump moment; even Anchorman got them!

September 18, 2009 - submitted by Mathilde, France Q. Hi!!I'll celebrate my 19th birthday on September 24th. Could Coldplay sing for me? Thanx! The Oracle replies: Sappy as this may sound, the band sing for you all with every song; they won't be able to sing for your birthday I'm afraid. It's my Mum's 70th birthday today so big Oracle love to her - even she won't be getting a Happy Birthday from the band. It's also my niece's birthday today and she will be representing at Wembley but there'll be no shout out. So, happy birthday to one and all whenever your big day is! Special mention to Bianca in Peru who's having her party tonight...

September 18, 2009 - submitted by Emily, United States of America Q. Dear Oracle, In The interview with Jonny on Coldplay.com the interviewer said to Jonny, "Well, you had the biggest selling album in the world last year" and then Jonny replies "Did we? That is incredible." So did the band (or Jonny) not know about this? I'm just curious. But please reply though! Sincerely, Emily The Oracle replies: On 28th January I was in the studio and we were talking about the fact Viva was the biggest selling album in the world in 2008 and they hadn't known long; Jonny found out the day before during that interview. They did know it was the 2nd biggest seller in the U.K.

September 17, 2009 - submitted by Martin, United Kingdom Q. Do you think the bloke who had the chance to sign the band ten years ago - but passed up on the opportunity - will still be kicking himself today? Why do you think he failed to spot the obvious potential? The Oracle replies: Ha ha ha! I wonder how you know about that Martin? It was actually eleven years ago and I know for a fact that he openly says not; deep down though he absolutely must be kicking himself. Although he liked them, the industry wasn't at that point enamoured. Given the somewhat sheep mentality of A&R I guess he had no-one to follow...

September 17, 2009 - submitted by Sandy, United States of America Q. Dear Oracle, Who is the gentleman who is the announcer for The Nappies? Thank you in advance just in case you answer. The Oracle replies: That would be the legendary Beatles producer George Martin.

September 17, 2009 - submitted by Henry, United Kingdom Q. I was having a discussion with someone seeing Jay-Z at the Roundhouse tonight, and I am off to Wembley tomorrow night. He described the collective efforts of Girls Aloud and the boys as being like a "snooze sandwich" around Jay, and that he not myself was in possession of the better ticket. Great Oracle, do you have suitably withering comeback to silence him? The Oracle replies: Well he's wrong of course and it's a shame he won't be there to be proved wrong. Given that you'll get to see a storming set by Jay AND Coldplay not to mention White Lies and Girls Aloud I can't see how your ticket isn't the equivalent of a Willy Wonka golden ticket. Anyway, just point him in the direction of this tasty sandwich. [ame= ] [/ame]

September 17, 2009 - submitted by Bec, Australia Q. To dear Oracle, I saw the Coldplay message on the Rockfield Guest Book and who oh who is Disco Ken? Also is there any reason Chris used a blue pen and WHOSE WRITING IS IT? luv luv luv Bec pip pip xx The Oracle replies: Disco Ken is Ken Nelson who was the producer at the helm of those studio sessions. Ken also appeared in The Nappies video donning a wig of course...

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
:laugh3: :laugh3: OMG I laughed so hard when I read your comments guys...!!!!!! Actually that's the first thing I thought when I saw that picture: wtf?! Where did this picture come from? Because not only does Will smile look scary indeed, but Guy's hair looks even stranger to me, Chris...doesn't look like Chris, and as for Jonny...is his skin really as white as it is in this picture?! And their hands... Really strange picture... :inquisitive: As for the mispelling...poor Will!!! And there's an 'H' in Jonny's firstname too... :veryangry2:

AHHHHH Fudge I'm in love with your pictures!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) They are so beautiful!!! I'm impressed by Will pictures, because it's so difficult to take a good picture of him. And Guy smiling...congrat's! I love the one where Guy, Will and Jonny are applausing and Chris is already leaving the stage, as if he didn't care...

I don't think there's any golden circle... Is there?! (I'm not going to the concert, so I'm not 100% sure) @Claudia: I understand perfectly your concern. I'm not going to the concert (unfortunately...) but what I could tell is: the problem is not for the Coldplayer who saves you the place in the queue (I'm sure you could find someone here in this forum who would agree to do it), the problem comes from the other persons in the queue... That's why it is so complicated to save a place in the queue. But it's worth a try! Sometimes it works. Sometimes the persons in the queue get really angry... And I've never been to Wembley so I don't know... My advice: get there at 7 am...without your family! Just kidding... I know you can't do that. But if I were you (well, it depends on your age), I think I would consider it... Because you see your family every day, but you don't see Chris and the guys every day. :D And when you're first row...well, it's impossible to explain it with words... But it certainly is one of the most important experience in a life, especially a Coldplayer one. :)
