Well, my post wasn't meant as an advice or encouragement to ignore the 'dead line'. :confused: It's just that these days (esp. after all the concerts in the UK/Ireland) a lot of new users come to the forum who find this thread and maybe want to participate as well. :) So it's more or less meant to those people who live in the UK/Europe and who's cards don't have such a long postal way ... :\ Sure you can also try to send a card after X-Mas from Mexico but there's no guarantee that it will reach the addressee in time and like 'ApproximatelyInfinite' said, as it is meant to be a group project, it has a wider and more powerful effect if the guys get all the cards at once rather than in stages ... :(

Der erste Kalender, also den Du bei Amazon gesehen hattest, der kommt aus UK und wurde dort im September herausgebracht. Ich schätze einfach mal, dass der ausverkauft ist. :( Und dann wird es den vermutlich auch nicht mehr geben ... In UK ist 'mein' Kalender auch ausverkauft, ich hoffe jetzt einfach mal, dass EMI Deutschland noch Exemplare hat ... :)

Ich kenne/kannte den anderen gar nicht?!? :confused: Bin nur neulich durch Zufall (naja, hatte schon 'nen Grund) auf der EMI Deutschland Seite gelandet und bin dann dort über die Kalender gestolpert. Und wenn EMI den verkauft, dann sollte es ja eigentlich Offizielles Merchandising sein?! :thinking:

:laugh3: I can!! ;) And I can completely understand your disappointment when your only chance seemed to vanish :( It's not that Coldplay constantly tour Australia or spend time for promo there. So it's probably easier for people in Europe, who could at least travel to London without paying so much expenses like you did. That surely gives Europeans no guarantee that they will meet the guys more easily but if they don't, it wouldn't hurt so much moneywise ... Okay, I am just writing rubbish here but you probably get what I mean :) So you've just been to the UK for some concerts and for seeing them?

Naja, man könnte natürlich auch 'hochwertigere' Regencapes nehmen und die ggf. bedrucken lassen. Drucke gehen ja heutzutage auf (fast) alles drauf ;) Ist schon richtig, dass man ja auch nass werden kann, aber wenn ich bedenke, dass ich ggf. schon Stunden vor Einlass im Regen stehen muss und dann noch während Support, Umbau UND Konzert, dann ist mir wohl 'ne Lungenentzündung sicher und in meinem Alter stehe ich nicht mehr so darauf :( Die neue 'IQ' habe ich noch nicht. Hab's irgendwie noch nicht geschafft, die zu bestellen. Bestellen ist auf jeden Fall günstiger, als hier zu kaufen (habe für die letzte Ausgabe glaube ich EUR 12,- bezahlt) und momentan steht das GBP so extrem günstig :) Bei mir ist die Schule auch schon ewig her, aber das I-Net hält mich doch schon ein bisschen fit, was Englisch angeht. ;)

I guess people (latecomers) in Europe are probably safe, when they send their cards on the 23rd or even after X-mas. Not that I am advising everyone to do so, but usually the mail doesn't take too long and I somehow can't imagine that Debs will be knocking at the guys doors on Jan. 2nd ;) So if worst comes to worst, the cards will probably arrive in time even when posted after X-mas. At least it's worth a try ... :\

WOW!!! It's like a late advents calendar, except that we don't get any chocolate, but loads of nice photos, handwritten messages and other 'to the point' information :) Oh ... I will so love the next 12 days :)

Especially as I wouldn't have the guts to ring the doorbell at all, no matter how far I was from :laugh3: Well done!! :) At least, nobody set the dogs on you, so that is a success in some way ... ;) Surely it is disappointing, especially if you had some hopes in seeing someone, but I guess it would be hard at this time of the year anyway, esp. with all the concerts going on in the UK. The 'visitor rate' at the bakery is probably a bit higher now ... ;)

Awww ... thanks so much for saying so :) I am so blonde when it comes to graphics, photo editing skills aso. Most of the cards I've seen here are so very clever made, funny and very special in their own way :) I am so very sure the guys will die of laughter, well hopefully they won't actually die ;) :laugh3:

Card no. 2 is now finished as well and I am quite pleased with the result :) Especially given that I only started making them yesterday (messages) and today (layout) ;) I guess I should also post the message along as the title on the front reflects to the message on the back ... :) Here we go:

So here it is, the touristy card from my city :) I made it myself (except for the photo) and therefore it looks a bit 'pimped up' ;) Of course it can't compete with some other cards on here, but I am not really that creative nor do I have loads of time on my hands just now ... :(
