Anyone going to see the band in Berlin at the Winter Rocks! X-Mas Festival or the same day at the City Music Music Store at Kurfuerstendamm 11 for their accoustic set? Would be great to see a few more people there :)

Wer von Euch kommt hier eigentlich aus Berlin und Umgebung?! Grund meiner Frage ist eigentlich ein grandioser Veranstaltungstipp für Sonntag, 18.12.2011 The Domino State sind Headliner des Winter Rocks! X-Mas Festivals in der Universal Hall in Berlin-Moabit. Beginn der Veranstaltung ist um 15 Uhr mit diversen anderen Bands (Einzelheiten hier: http://www.facebook.com/#!/events/121825251258469/). The Domino State werden ca. 23 Uhr auftreten. Das ist zwar ziemlich spät, aber es lohnt sich wirklich!! Wer die Band nicht kennt: Jonny's Bruder Tim Buckland spielt in dieser Band Gitarre (und die Ähnlichkeit ist wirklich unübersehbar ;) ), aber für mich ist das absolut kein Grund, denn mittlerweile haben The Domino State Coldplay fast schon überholt (bzw. eigentlich haben sie's schon :D ). EUR 30,- zu viel (aber es lohnt sich!!) ist, der sollte Sonntag Mittag zum City Music Music Store in den Kurfürstendamm 11 kommen. Danke, das ist ein nettes Angebot aber mein Auto ist bereits voll, da ich noch mit 3 anderen Leuten fahren :) Nach Berlin fahre ich mit dem BerlinLinienBus, da es mir mit dem Wetter zu ungewiss war und von daher übernachte ich auch in Berlin. :)

So who will be queueing because of having standing tickets? I will be on my own, arriving in Berlin 12.30 pm, then need to drop off my stuff at the hotel (which is in walking distance to the O2World) and I guess I will be heading for the venue straight away, depending on the weather of course.

So who will be seeing the guys play the Camden Barfly on Friday, January 20th? Would be great if the location will be packed :)

@Anna Ich denke, wir werden hier ein wenig Off Topic ;) :laugh3: Aber wen stört's, wenn ein Mod damit anfängt :p Ich bin ja ein Anhänger von Verschwörungstheorien und so 'nem Zeugs :D Daher habe ich schon seit längerer Zeit gesagt, dass das Album "absichtlich" so grottig ist und die sich in der Bakery halb totlachen, über die wundervollen Kritiken, die sie trotzdem bekommen ... ;) :laugh3: Vermutlich sagen die sich "Was müssen wir noch alles machen, bis die Leute uns hassen und wir endlich in Rente gehen können?!". Ich habe mir MX wirklich zwangsangehört,, weil ich das Album ganz ehrlich mögen wollte (wie hört sich das denn an, ist das richtiges Deutsch??), aber es geht nicht. Es lief bei mir, ich habe nebenher am PC rumgespielt und nach 'ner Weile steuerte mein CD-Wechsler die nächste CD an und ich dachte "Wie??? DAS wars schon?!" Es hat mich nicht wirklich mitgerissen bzw. die 'A-HA-Momente' blieben aus :(

I really like your way of thinking ;) :laugh3: It's a very good point about the rushed announcement and with the pre-sale going online only within 22 hours. They should have announced it earlier or waited a little with the pre-sale so that one would have been able to organize the money & make decisions :( Esp. before X-Mas ... *sigh*

Ich denke, ich werde nach dieser Tour auch kapitulieren, wenn sich bei den Preisen nix ändert. Ich verstehe ja, dass eine solche (aufwendige) Produktion eine ganze Reihe Kostenfaktoren hat und keiner für umsonst arbeitet usw. Dennoch finde ich die Preisentwicklung jenseits von Gut & Böse. Künstlersteuer hin oder her, wenn man nicht aufpasst, werden etliche Künstler zukünftig einen Bogen um Deutschland machen und dann sind widerum Arbeitsplätze in den mit der Unterhaltungsbranche verknüften Bereichen in Gefahr. Also wieder selbstgemachte Probleme. Und wie mein 'Vorschreiber' schon angemerkt hat, wenn dann 'nur' ein 90 bzw. 100 minütiges Konzert drin ist, finde ich das schon arg überzogen mit den Preisen ...

Sometimes I wish some band will end up playing in front of a half empty stadium. Or maybe even no GC tickets sold ... Though I'm kinda convinced that the concert will be either cancelled :(

Stimmt genau. Ich weiß zu 100%, dass die Band die geringste Schuld trifft und die meistens gar nix von diesem Chaos weiß bzw. was die Preise der Tickets angeht. Trotzdem ärgert es mich irgendwie maßlos, dass die Veranstalter oder sonstwer scheinbar ohne jegliche Gegenwehr die Preisschraube immer mehr anziehen können. Wenn man bedenkt, was man mit dem Geld sonst machen könnte. Denn in den wenigsten Fällen bleibt es ja bei den Kosten für die Karte. Für mich ist 'ne (kleine) Anreise nötig, dann wird was gegessen bzw. getrunken, vielleicht sogar noch Merch ... da biste locker € 200,- oder mehr los :embarrassed:

Zumal man ja nicht nur eine 'Monopol-Band' hat, sondern gerne mehrere Künstler live sehen möchte und da gehören eben auch ab und an mal Stadionbands dazu, bei denen die Tickets auch gerne mal € 100,- kosten. Sowas kann man sich bald nicht mehr leisten ... :angry:

In Portugal kosten die GC Tickets sogar € 95,- und leider kann man da die Kosten nicht mit denen in Deutschland gleichsetzen, weil der Verdienst der Portugiesen wesentlich niedriger ist. Habe eben gerade noch mit 'ner Freundin telefoniert, die Studentin ist. Ein Coldplay Ticket bedeutet für sie, 3/4 Monat auf Essen zu verzichten. Wer soll das noch bezahlen?? Sowas kann sich nur leisten, wer 'nen Job hat und alleine geht. Bedenk' nur mal, Du willst dorthin und hast Familie die mit will. 4 Tickets (egal ob GC oder 'normal) ca. € 300,-. HALLO??? Geht's noch??? :shocked2:

And honestly speaking ... € 95,- for a GC ticket in Portugal is just ridiculous!!! They don't even earn as much money as maybe in Germany, France or the UK .. How can an everage fan (maybe even student!) afford to pay so much money ... :o :angry:

That's why I'm currently soooo very mad :angry: I mean, nice to get an announcement and that they tour again, but if you don't make up your mind within 22 hours, you'll end up with no tickets at all or shitty ones. :( ESPECIALLY before X-Mas, when you need to spend so much money on other things or at the beginning of the new year, when insurances and general bills will be due. € 90,- for a Golden Circle ticket (for Hannover) ... Sorry, if I'm currently very negative but I just can't help it ... :angry:

So .... ich denke mal, dass es u. a. mit dem IE zu tun hatte (jaja, ich bin 'ne ewig gestrige und nutze IE!) ;) Habe jetzt die Tickets über einen anderen Browser bestellt und es funktionierte ... Thank God!! Ich war wirklich kurz davor, auf der Straße ein Blutbad anzurichten. Tickets für Hannover für FOS sind nun bestellt :) :) :)

In die Konzert-Auswahl komme ich rein, klicke ich auf Hannover und wähle dann aus dem Drop-Down Menue die Aktion (coldplay.com 2012) und gebe dann den Code ein, wird mir gesagt, dass der Code ungültig ist. Tja, und vorhin war ich in der Platzauswahl drin, konnte aber die Anzahl der Tickets nicht in meinen Warenkorb packen. Dann ist mein PC eingefroren und ich musste neu starten und wie gesagt, jetzt nimmt er nicht mal mehr den Promotion-Code an. Ich könnte sowas von Kotzen!!! Schlimm genug, dass die Dates mit nur 24 Stunden Vorankündigung in den Verkauf gehen. Dann die horrenden Preise und nun das: Noch nicht mal in der Lage zu sein, tatsächlich Tickets zu erwerben. All das trägt z. Zt. wirklich nicht unbedingt dazu bei, dass mir CP nach dem MX Album wieder sympathischer werden :angry:

Okay ... it worked so far, that I was able to chose the number of tickets but I couldn't put them in my cart. Promotional code worked at first. Now they are telling me that this very code I used doesn't work. I even copied & pasted it from the official website to avoid any typos caused by frustration and such. It's not working anymore. I could puke!! Or go on a rampage!!!! :angry: I mean ... at first this very short notice announcement, then ticket prices of nearly € 90,- for the Golden Circle and then you're not even able to purchase your tickets??! I'm REALLY pissed right now!! And the first tickets for Munich are up on Ebay already! € 180,- for a single ticket! Sorry, but that's not funny anymore ....

Tickets sorted already :) What a pity that you can't be there with us :( But like Carol said, I'm pretty sure there will be loads more gigs in 2012 :)

Me again ... (talking to myself, as always :laugh3: ) :) Let's have a Domino X-Mas! The Domino State will be playing the Winter Rocks! X-Mas Festival in Berlin on (Sunday) December 18th, 2011. It will be 7 bands in total and The Domino State will be the headliner, taking the stage at approx. 11 pm. Tickets are around € 30,- and can be purchased via Eventim.de I'll be there :) I guess I can even stay in Berlin, as only 3 days later, Coldplay will be playing there as well ...
