Just a tad? That's not so bad. It still makes sense, but just to me apparently. I failed. Ah well.

Thank you Briggins! :) And thank you for writing a bit about all the bands/artist, I was hoping you would do that. I meant to guess the theme but I forgot to write that. I wouldn't have guessed Canada though. So you stalked me? :laugh3: Yeah, I guess I've mentioned the Peppers a few times here. They're my first but not only love. The mix I made for someone will tell. I was afraid my favourite no 8 would be your own or a local band and I would never get to hear more from them, but guess what?! They're streaming their music on Spotify so I can listen to them now  Yay! I wish I could go with you to see them, I so want to see this band live. If you can't find company, please go alone and tell me about it ;) When I first heard this song I thought it might be !!! (chk chk chk). I've seen them live in a small club and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Thanks again! I love my mixtape.

The Mixtape Exchange, Round 3: Swaps complete, please post your reviews
I've listened to my mix a few times now, ready to write my review. Two things: English is not my language. I know embarrassingly little about music, so when I say things like "violin" and "jazzy" it's feelings rather than facts. 01 - Nice rhythm, jazzy, mellow. Good first track, interesting and open, wondering which direction this mix will take. 02 - Yes, here comes more noise, more of everything, makes me smile immediately. Tempo varies, good thing. The voice sounds so familiar, I should probably know who this is. 03 - Slightly similar to the previous song. I really like this voice, it's deeper, rougher, goes well with what I hear of the lyrics. 04 - Starts with a bass - oh sweet memories! and then a voice talking. This mix gets better with every song. Heavier guitars and is that a violin? That's a surprise, love it. Can't wait to read the lyrics. Really very good one. 05 - A bit more held back, good song to follow no 4. The kind that makes me drum along the first time I hear it. Something interesting happens at the end that I can't describe, it changes and ends with a warning signal. 06 - I really like the messy noisy instrumental parts, good contrast to the nicer voice. It's dark, it's got a pulse, this is my city at night. 4 and 6 are my favourites so far. 07 - Hmm... there are things I don't like. Like the voice, let it out of the can! But my first note was "I think it will grow on me" and it has. First I thought it was too smooth, but now I hear other things. Interesting one. 08 - What?! Oh no. First thought, but just for a second. I absolutely love this. It's what I'd call electronica (again, feeling not fact). I never listen to this kind of music. It's crazy and I do hope this is a band with a good sense of humour, it could be fantastic live. I love how it rises to chaos, pain, no, help, aaaaa - and then back. I wish it was at least twice as long, I wanna dance! 09 - A bit of reggae, and more. My partner must have humour, funny song, funny lyrics. Another favourite. Fashionable! 10 - I've been listening to The Scripts lately and this song has that nice, warm, mellow... argh, what's the word?! Feeling? Nodding my head, dancing. Again a violin, with a very good solo at the end, a bit messy which is good, could have been too sweet without it. 11 - Laid-back, jazzy. Again a good combination with the previous, let's keep this good feeling for a while. Ba-ba-pa-pa... I'm singing. Very good singer, sounds like one I use to listen to but this one's new to me. I think. 12 - Left me quite unaffected the first times but starts to grow on me. I can't say exactly what is wrong, maybe I need to read the lyrics. It's a good song, I wish it was longer, something's missing. 13 - Love the bass here. Good song, very good chorus. I want to hear more from this band, if they can create even more of that riot they want it could be great. My first notes says it will grow on me - yup! 14 - It's a siren, it's snow, it's California, the world is changing. I really like that siren, I like the unexpected. Another song that makes me wanna dance, but in a quite different way than no 8. One track left, how will this end? 15 - Aaah nice, I want a car. It's not a song for the highway, but imagine driving through the desert or along the ocean. Open spaces. What is it that makes a song mellow without being boring? This one on repeat and I won't stop smiling. Perfect ending. So that's it. A very good mixtape with music that I normally don't listen to, couldn't name any of the bands. Which is great, lots of bands I want to hear more from (of?). I'm so tired now, can't even find the typos and spellos. One of the participants planned to make a mix with a theme, I wonder if this is it? The songs go so well together but not in a boring way and there are a few that really stands out. Thank you so much mystery mixer! You did a great job! Now tell me who they are please :)
