Yes, time period does make a big difference. (I was just referring to that one adaptation, in case I didn't make that clear.) One thing that annoys me very much is when people say, "omg they look so gay!" regarding the tights that the men wear. This is NOT how it was during that time period. Nobody thought that it implied homosexuality then. :\

About the cheesiness being "Romeo and Juliet for you," it's true. I was thinking that as well. I thought that maybe it could have been handled a bit better, though, but ah well, I suppose that other things make up for it. Agreed on Mercutio. And props to you on the memorization. (:

I didn't like how Juliet was portrayed in this adaptation (her appearance wasn't fitting at all, in my opinion) and thought that some scenes were quite cheesy, but that scene is awesome. The acting really added to the characters. Mercutio was great.

Yeah, it needed its own thread because of how ridiculous it was. I'm sure that the guy who sent in the question just did it to see if The Oracle would answer. I wonder if she realized this? She probably thought that it would be funny to answer....
