  1. You noticed Buffon? Why? Because you really want him to play for Barca and not Juve? He is one heck of a goalkeeper. Yeah, that was one lucky goal. It almost did not go in but it hit the bar and it went it. Italy played poorly. They were losing the ball, not playing good offense and defense. Egypt always got back into defensive position when Italy got the ball but Italy looked slow.
  2. Well, his whole look makes him more noticeable. You take one look at him and then you just have to look at Coldplay just to rediscover what good looking men look like. :laugh3: Puyol can blind you with his looks. He plays good but his look does not fit his play. Oh, I am watching that Brazil/Italy game. It should be good. We should watch it together, in a sense. We should talk about it while the game is being played. Yeah, check out Pirlo's new hair. heck!! Even Buffon got a hair cut.
  3. Yeah, Puyol looks like a shaggy dog. LOL!! Pirlo cut his hair!!! I was so shocked to see him with short hair. He needs to give Puyol some hair styling tips. LOL!! Or, you could give him some styling tips.
  4. Messi is pretty good. Puyol? Man, that guy needs to wear a mask over his face. Now that is one ugly dude, and I do mean ugly. I don't pay too much attention to their looks but his just stands out for being so damn ugly. LOL!! Well, my fav player is Andres Pirlo of AC Milan. He is a excellent playmaker.
  5. After those games then its Brazil/Italy (should be a good match to watch) and Egypt/USA. You know, two teams from Africa (SA and Egypt) might make the semi-finals in the Confederations Cup. That would be interesting. I have a video of Italy's World Cup win and they interviewed Gattuso and I was just shocked to hear his voice. It does not fit him at all. I love football too, and I think we both don't like C. (Cry Baby) Ronaldo. I forgot which player was your favorite.
  6. Have you ever heard Gattuso talk? He looks like he would have a deep voice but his voice is actually, well, he sounds like a little kid. Man, I love this sport. What sport can provide 90 minutes of entertainment that features men in excellent shape and moments of pure hillarity? Only football can.
  7. LOL!! Yeah, he does. Too bad his face is not better looking. :laugh3:
  8. The commentator here made a comment about mothers telling their kids to wear clean underwear and he (Gattuso) obviously listened to his mother. LOL!!! That was funny. You know, that is not the first time that has happened to him. I think he likes to show off his tidy whities. LOL!! Now, don't you just love football? ;)
  9. Some people say that the It was not a bad TV movie, though I heard that The Stand was the better TV movie and book. Well, I worked for Oxfam and our seats were on the lawn. By the time we got to the lawn it was so crowded that I can not tell you exactly were I and the others were sitting at.
  10. I liked Rose Red too, but I felt like I was missing something. I don't know if it was how the TV movie was edited or what but I felt at little lost.
  11. Hey Carla! I don't know if you watched the football game between Italy and Egypt (Egypt won) but if you did did you see what happened to Gattuso of Italy? LOL!!
  12. Yeah, it was sad. I let my friend borrow the book, which costed about $28, and she ruined it. I would love to read it again. I have never seen The Green Mile and The Mist. I'm not much of a movie watcher even though I was told I should watch them. As for the teen-slasher flick, well, that is what Stephen King complains about when it comes to his books being made into movies. They lose all the substance that the book has. I am about to read The Cell. I hope it's good book. BTW...I was also at the Riverbend concert. Actually, I was part of Oxfam.
  13. I like his books. I think my favorite is The Shining, though Bag of Bones is also a good one. I gotta say, I hate it when they make his books into movies because they never truly keep the film with the book. I think Carrie was the only major film that was at least close to the book. Now, the TV version of The Shining was more with the book and, IMO, better than the one by Stanley Kubriak.

  15. I hope you're ok, Carla. Just take care of yourself and make sure your sister takes care of herself. We had the swine flu outbreak here in Springfield. One of the middle schools in my town got hit with it. I think there were four or five cases. In October of last year, there was another outbreak of a disease but I can't remember the name. All I can say is that the disease was more prominent in the 1600/1700's. Anyway, take care my good buddy. I hope you get my postcards and butterflies soon so that they can cheer you up.

  17. The US thinks if they beat anyone in this part of the hemisphere then they are really great. Though they ignore loses to Argentina and Brazil. LOL!! I guess to many Americans those countries don't count. LOL!
  18. Like they always say....the US can not win the big games against the big teams. I don't know why folks think our football is great because its not. It's slowly, and I do mean slowly, improving, but the US still has a far way to go before being that big winner. I think the US thinks if they beat Mexico a lot then that's the best feeling in the world. LOL!!
  19. The US got their ass kicked by Brazil today (USA 0 -Brazil 3). I am sure that is not a big surprise to anyone. LOL!!
  20. I thought it was Russia and New Zeland yesterday? I remember NZ losing.
  21. You haven't gotten my postcards and butterflies yet? I hope you get them soon. I just hope I wrote your address correctly. Don't you use zip codes in El Salvador? Anyway, I thought Howling Bells were pretty good. Hey! Russia and New Zealand football game was on TV here. I was shocked to see the game on ESPN.
  22. What teams are playing?
  23. Ah!! You need Buffon of Italy to be your goalkeeper then you'll win. Are you watching the Confederation Cup? I didn't even know it was going on until I saw the Italy/USA match on TV. I was surprised to see it on TV.
  24. What was the score? I don't watch US football. You know me, I like Germany and Italy.
