Well, I hope you discussed Williams -vs- Mississippi which the Supreme Court upheld the literacy requirement to vote. Since I'm hardly here I would've recommended discussing the disenfranchisment of African-Americans. It was not just the Klan that was intimidating the African- Americans but it was also the Democratic Party. They worked together to intimidate, kill, use of any form of violence to repress and deny African-Americans their right to vote. They created new constitutions that had barriers that prevented African-Americans from voting, such as requirements for poll taxes, literacy, residency requirments and rule variations. Oh, the KKK formed not long after the Civil War and the first Grand Wizard of the KKK was Nathan Bedford Forrest, a General from the South, who ended up leaving the KKK because they became to violent for him, and he was a violent man. LOL!!

Could you talk about how different media, depending on their own philosophy, manipulates people's opinions? In the US, there are media outlets such as CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS, that many would say that have a liberal agenda, while media outlets such as Fox News have what many would say is a conservative agenda. So, if you're a conservative or just watches Fox News then everything that Fox News says is the truth while anything that CNN says is wrong, and vice versa. An example of this would be the recent trip to Europe that Pres. Obama made where he said Amercians were arrogant. Fox News only played that comment while CNN showed there was much more to the speech. Other examples would be on gun control, taxes, and health care. You're not going to find all one-sided articles because media outlets preach their own philosophy. There are many issues that the media won't stop talking about, at least here in the US, and those are Iraq, taxes, health care, the stimulous plan, and the bailout.

I agree. I know we all say that we wouldn't hurt them or stalk them but I think people tend to forget that we don't know everyone on this board. Many people do not post and even the ones who do post, how do we know for sure that a couple of bolts are loose in the head? We don't and I think that is what needs to be considered.

Who in their right mind would name a band Chickenfoot? They should be called Chickens**t. And, what kind of album title is Soap on a Rope? They only people who use soap on a rope are the men in prison and we all know why they need to keep the soap on a rope.

I like both of the shows. Though, I will say that both shows can be a little boring depending on the subject matter they are dealing with. Cold Case is fine until they do the really old cases and they have actors portraying someone really old but they don't look the age. LOL!!! The music they use for each show to depict the year is pretty good. It would be nice to hear a Coldplay song on the show. Without a Trace is pretty good. Anthony LaPaglia (I know I just spelled his name wrong) is a good actor. They normally have good scripts on that show.

I never got into Crossing Jordan. It seemed so, well, bland.
