So true. The saying is you know you made it big or are the IT thing when you get to appear on The Simpsons. This has to be the easiest $500 ever made by Coldplay. ($500 is the standard pay for doing a voice as a guest on an any animated show. Well, it was a few years ago).

Well, Jimmy Webb did write it in the '60s so that could explain it. I think the cake and the rain is a reference to a relationship falling apart since the song seems to be about a relationship. There's one line in the song that hints at that so that is my take on it.

I do believe that Brian Eno made them listen to her music along with other artists. I love Donna Summer and I love that song (though it does not make any sense. LOL) but I really am not hearing that big of a similarity between the two songs. Of course, that might be just me.

As Homer Simpson famously says all the time..."Whoo-hoo!" :dance: As an avid watcher of the show, I will say that the show is not as good as it once was but that is because the show has been on for a long time. Normally, when a show has been on TV for a long period of time the quality does good down.
