I've listened to this song back to back. At first listen I thought Coldplay was trolling. But after accepting what coldplays become now I'm kinda liking the song now. I'm liking it more and more after each listen. But I really really hope the whole album is not like this. The only hope I have that it's not all like this is that Noel Gallagher is on it. No way that Noel Gallagher signs up for a song like this.

I haven't listened to this song yet. Thought I'd check out what everyone thinks of it. Looks 70/30 split in this forum in favour of the song which you would expect. So I went on Twitter and daaaaamn not many are liking it, in fact finding it hard to find any who love it. Also seen that most oldplayers are not digging it so I'm really not looking forward to listening to this. And now I hear BEYONCÉ is on the album and had a hand in some of the songs? Hahahaha I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Beyoncé? Really? And so many collaborations, doesn't leave many songs with just Coldplay on it. But then I hear NOEL GALLAGHER will be on it and I'm saved!! Noel Gallagher! The God himself! My two favourite artists together wow! This album will be good just for that one song. I can't wait. I can't believe it, best news I've heard. Noel f Gallagher! Yes!

Haha I can totally see this happening as well. Nick Grimshaw is in love with one direction and justin beiber and so is Chris Martin (for some unknown strange reason). As soon as Chris mentions either one direction or beiber I'm switching the radio off, I can't listen to him embarrassing himself like that. I really hope this song and album has at least some hint of the old Coldplay.

I don't see them releasing the single today, would make no sense. It'll just be the title of song, the album cover maybe and release date for album. Ten mins to go

The first thing I thought of was MX when I first heard it. But I agree wills drums sound amazing, been a long time since we've heard them, can't wait.

I had my last hope but now I'm resigned, the Coldplay I fell in love with are never coming back. Ah well, I do like their newer albums as well. I'm liking the snippet more and more now. Wills drums gets me, loving it.

I'll be honest and say when the sound first came on I was annoyed cause its just gonna be MX part two when I was hoping for the old Coldplay to come back but then I heard Wills drums and I got excited! Riff sounds ok too.

I don't see it getting number one at all. It's gonna need a huge single release on par with viva la vida or paradise to get it to number one. They release amazing day and oh dear.

As a businessman, more and more of me is thinking that Coldplay is making a really big mistake by releasing their album in a few weeks. The reason is Adele. Adeles album won't be like any other, it will break loads of records. The problem with this is that the publicity for the new Coldplay album will be 'swept under the rug' almost cause everyone is on an Adele hype at the moment. Or maybe I'm looking too much into the business side and should just look into the music side of it. But I want Coldplay to sell big. I feel pride when they sell big and do record numbers.

Oh that's good then! I dont want the first single to be amazing day as it's not that good and Ive gotten bored of it now, I want something new, something more uptempo. I agree that amazing day just doesn't fit

That's obviously the album cover. It goes with their pattern of album covers, putting one thing on a one colour background. Looks kinda bland but who cares, it's all bout the songs. Single definitely released on Friday, I see it being Amazing day.

Single will be released this week for sure. Hope it's good. Album definitely coming out on 4th December, it's obvious now.

That album covers already been done by 'bring me the horizon'. Still a shame that it won't get to number one ugh. Hopefully the album is good, fingers crossed.

I want them to get number one to get that Beatles record of consecutive number ones, would be history in the making. Oh well, so close! I'm guessing the single will have to be released very soon then if the album is to come out in 30-40 days.

So the Coldplay album coming out on December 4th? Why wait all this time and then release it when Adele releases hers or couple of weeks after. Shame, it won't knock Adele off number one spot, her hype is overblown. Should wait till January.

It's not even that good of a song. Just sounds like her other songs, so once you've heard it already it becomes boring and repetitive. Why she making depressing music anyway, is her life that bad

Damn wasn't expecting that! I like the new song! Only heard the live version and I took into account that Chris vocals weren't great, it was still good. I've already got the chorus stuck in my head. The studio version will sound better so I'm looking forward to it. Overall, nice job Coldplay. Hopefully the album is good too.

I haven't heard the song yet but just a news story about them releasing a new song called amazing day. Seen the video in the OP, only a few seconds but sounds like a song from ghost stories sigh. But seriously, why does Chris Martin love these untalented bunch of manufactured pop 'artists'? It's a put off. Loving Ariane grande, one direction, Justin beiber. Anyway, looking forward to hearing this song
