So Coldplay didn't get number 1, they didn't beat Adele. I am so shocked, literally sooo shocked. Aha I said this weeks ago, was obvious they wouldn't beat Adele. A Marketing disaster.

It's clear what's happening, they are trying to be young and cool again. That's why they love one direction and Justin beiber. It's sad to see what they have become now. Chris Martin mentions one direction in almost every interview and it's so cringe. Hopefully one day they'll suddenly wake up and think 'wtf have we been doing for the past 7 years'. Sadly that day will never come though. MX is easily their worst album, it goes without saying. It's one big mess. I look forward to MX part 3 in the near future. Maybe a collaboration with Justin beiber as well. Exciting times.

I can see this being a success in the charts. It has Beyoncé on it which helps and it's one of those generic pop tracks that the 'cool' kids will like. Should've been released first instead of AOAL.

They will take a break.....they need it. During that break they will all look in the mirror and finally realise that they need the old Coldplay to come back cause the way they are going now is just a downward slide. Then they'll go back in the studio and start making some proper songs and a proper album! AROBTTH Part 2 coming 2020.

Reading up on the sales updates and apparently it's not selling well in the US. It's estimated to sell 190k in U.S. Fifteen other albums have sold in the region of 190k in the U.S. just this year. That's a huge decline compared to their other albums. I blame the AOAL song for the low sales. Releasing that turd for a song obviously isn't going to get people rushing to buy this album. So many better songs on the album, literally every song, even the minute long ones.

I'm the same. I can't get into that song. I think it's Chris voice, it's just so boring and the ending is bit weird.

Lol I love Coldplay but the Beatles are on a totally different level. It's men against boys. Wouldn't have Coldplay have equalled Beatles record though, so it's not like they would've broken it so it would've been nice to have both Coldplay and Beatles both holding that record together.

Lol obviously AROBTTH. Viva is second though no doubt. AROBTTH will always be considered their greatest ever album by the general public IMO. It's always the highest Coldplay album in the 'greatest ever albums' list. They even put the album cover on stamps here in the UK. The album is iconic. Viva is more that one song, the title track. Just listen to the artistry on the album, the sound. It's just immense. I want this Coldplay back ffs.

When I first heard this song I thought it was the worst song I ever heard. But now it's annoyingly growing on me. It's stuck in my head lol. It's not that bad. Ba boom ba Boom boom

It's underrated cause it's one of the best Coldplay songs for me, as good as yellow fix you etc. Oasis were the kings of B sides! Acquiesce, Masterplan, Half the world away, Listen up. Their B sides are better than the entire catalogue of some artists these days lol. Lol, point taken.

Underrated song - Gravity. I don't know if this counts but was a B side that deserved better than it got. If crap like x marks the spot can make it on an album then you get my point. Underrated album - Ghost stories. It's a brilliant little album. Nice and mellow and good songs on it like oceans and O. Overrated song - Princess of China. God awful song. Wish could just erase that song from my memory. Overrated album - Mylo Xyloto. Easily the worst album. It's not bad, it's ok and nothing more. It's a kids album for one direction fans. Way over produced as well. And the album just doesn't flow, it's all over the place.

Coldplay will make history. It will be the best selling album in its debut week to go to number 2. Not the kind of history we were hoping but ah well was kinda obvious sales would be low given the time they released it in.

How Coldplay have lost their way. The journey from AROBTTH to this new album, how has it gone from a masterpiece to this.

I'd give it a 6/10 on first listen. Some decent songs in there but also some not so good ones. I don't like the first half of the album. Think the album gets better in the second half. Also they completely ruined the army of one song by adding that two minutes of the worst music I've ever heard. I think someone was trolling when they added that on lol. There's only really 9 tracks on the album. Army of one (THE FIRST SONG), Amazing day, Up and up are the songs I'm instantly liking from the album. Might take a few more listens for the other songs.

Chris was drunk. This interview made me cringe lol. When he couldn't tell that ever glow story like what was going on there. Simon Pegg was good, I liked when he backed Chris up by telling everyone he's not miserable as he's portrayed.

Listened to the album for the first time and this song stood out. But what is that shit on the end [emoji23] WTF is that lmao. Is that them trying their best to be cool haha. It doesn't fit and doesn't work. Ruined the song. Well done.

Didn't I tell you people a month ago that it wouldn't beat Adele? LOL. Adele on her 3rd week beats a Coldplay album on its first week, nothing other than a disaster that is. But oh well. If I knew it wouldn't get to number one then surely the Coldplay boys knew as well which means they don't care. Which is fair enough.

Hahahahaha I literally couldn't put it more perfect myself. The new Coldplay fans that the band has attracted do my head in. A two second snippet and they hail it as the greatest song ever written. Hell some are even saying its their best album, better than AROBTTH, just based on snippets [emoji23] I call them the one direction and Justin beiber fans. Sadly Coldplay are making music for them now though and have forgotten about the fans that made them who they are. I really hope I can love this new album but I'm having my doubts.
