  1. I am new here, lease forgive my questions. I want to participate. So I need to print out the template for the back of the postcard, then am free to create my own design on the front? I am bit confused at the statements about sending two? Am I to send two? Thank you ever so much.
  2. I have not yet, but I want to. I really just want to tell them thank you, adn then I can be happy that I did. I need to get access to a printer I think.
  3. That is why I joined here. After seeing them in Oklahoma City everything I love about them has grown and grown. I needed an outlet, and people who understand why I would think that show was the best I had ever seen, and why this band has changed a lot about me.
  4. I personally do not feel they are going to retire any time soon. Their music is growing more and more, and they seem happy as well. IN answer to what would I say to them, and this would be regardless of retirement or no. The one thing I will always want to tell them is thank you. A few years ago I was suffering from a very severe depression, and in a nutshell one song they sang, on Vh-1 one night that I happened on, saved my life. So I would tell them thank you for helping me see that I could make it.
  5. OH that's pretty cool! A conversation starting point!
  6. Well I paid 65 for mine. Sorry I probably should have made that clear. Still it was well worth it. Normally I would never spend that, but it was a treat for myself.
  7. I am new here but just wanted to poke my head in and say I love Doctor Who. I only just got into it at the end of season 2. I know it is cliche, but I think "Blink" still is about my favorite episode. Also I love "Utopia", "The Sound of Drums" and "Last of the Time Lords". Anyway it is nice to meet fellow fans.
  8. I hate having to wait until July. I am very excited about this film, as this is my favorite book! The trailer really does look amazing too.
  9. My top five bands never change. Green Day The Beatles U2 Coldplay Travis
  10. My Dad lives in Florida and he and my Step Mom like a couple songs. I have been sharing concert stories with supportive friends. I have three friends who like them, but I am not sure they would go out of theiur way to see a show or anything.
  11. I bought that hoodie at the Oklahoma City Show and I adore it! It is really well made, and very warm! I bought an XXL, and it is very roomie on me. I wear a womens 16-18, a men's XL usually. I thought it would run small so bought a size bigger. I have already worn it twice this week!
  12. 7:06, I am getting ready to watch the extras on the "Sean of the Dead" DVD, and go to bed early. I also am freezing. Oklahoma skipped fall and went straight into winter.
  13. Probably the weirdest is Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon on the TV show "The Big Bang Theory". I find him really funny. I really like John Simm, although that is probably not too weird, and David Tennant.
  14. The title to this thread made me laugh out loud. I am a vegetarian, although I do eat animals crackers. I don't eat cheese because I can not tolerate it, but I occasionally eat eggs.
  15. Thanks for the full article. I so hate when things get printed that are only half of what was said. grr. So thanks!
  16. I saw people carrying packs of these in OKC but by the time I got to the front of the Merch line it was utter chaos. Thanks for the link, I want some, and since it is a good cause I will probably buy more packs that I normally would.
  17. Hiya! I saw the OKC show too! Wasn't it fantastic?! Congrats on scoring those seats! Nice to meet you :)
  18. I adore Green Day, but when someone is right they are right. Despite a strong fan base that loves their less successful work, commercially Green Day are hit and miss. Coldplay have been consistently strong. At least from what I have seen. U2 stay pretty strong, except for the Pop phase. I am looking forward to both albums as well! Between Coldplay, Green Day and U2 I never run out of music to look forward to. Yes Green Day's tour is probably going to be around Summer next year, with an early 09 album release. OK back on track. Sorry. I was not aware that NME took the article off their site, but if they did it would prove it was unreliable. It just seems inconsistent with what I have heard, read and seen. Although really that is more a matter of my opinion of those three things.
  19. Well...not sure if this is true, but I hope not. I think they are just getting better and better with every album! I wish he would not compare them with U2 or Green Day. Now U2 and Green Day are in my top five bands way up high, but Coldplay are just as good, and at times much better. Every band, every musician has a certain appeal, a certain feel to their music, and so I try to never compare them personally. Coldplay are Coldplay, and they mean a ton to me, just like my other fave bands. There are things Coldplay have gotten me through that those other bands have not....or could not. Period. So I do hope they stick around, if they want to, because I think they still have a lot to offer musically. So ...yeah. Sorry that was a bit long.
  20. Wow, HI everyone! It is lovely to meet all of you!
  21. Karen I know I am new her but I wanted to say that is WONDERFUL! I am glad you had such a fantastic time :) They were on the Love Ramp on my side of the stadium, so I was all O_O because even in section 16 they were pretty close. Fantastic night I think for everyone!! :D Again glad you had a great night. :)
  22. Hi Rick8 and Dark_Sophie. Thanks so much for the welcome :)
  23. Last night was my first Coldplay show ever. I have to say it was the best night of my life. I have seen U2 and Paul McCartney, and this show trumped them both. It as...incredible. honestly words do not describe it. Also thanks to the girls who dubbed me Violet Hill for making me feel a welcomed part of the Coldplay fandom. I hope I get the chance to see them again in the future. My ticket was a gift from a friend, and I am sending her a Butterfly. :)
