  1. I hope Oxfam selects me :) Maybe there's few of us applying because people have no clue about this Oxfam volunteering opportunity :P I was checked earlier about Pit tickets on scalpers sites. I saw an offer on eBay for 4 Pit tix in Tampa for around $1500 (no joke), and pit tix for West Palm at $325 each. Crazy crappy stuff, and who knows if you'll get them? Good thing is that there are tons of people selling tickets on ebay, but only one offer had 5 bids on it. Perhaps people are not falling for this crap of tickets at waaaaay inflated prices for the FL concerts
  2. Yeah, they try to master the art of BSing in a nice tone  I know, I filled out the Oxfam application to volunteer at this concert, but I had to be honest and write that I live 4 hours away  And we won't get notified until the end of April or so :\ I posted something like this before, but I'll say it again... Worst-case scenario, I'll show up there, buy a lawn ticket early, and then beg a roadie to give an upgrade ticket  (and I know some of these people's names and how they look like, they cannot hide from me :P) EDIT: good luck, JustSpies with Oxfam appl!
  3. Hey, I signed up to volunteer with Oxfam, but at the West Palm concert. I hope they take me, I had to tell them I live 4 hours away :\ But I can fly in, I don't care!
  4. LiveNation replied to my email (see below) Subject Coldplay, May 15, 2009. Cruzan Amphitheater, West Palm Beach, FL Customer03/23/2009 12:33 PM [this is me] Why GA Pit tickets were not made available for this concert? The click-and-pick seating chart clearly shows that there will be a GA Pit, yet I came here at 10am sharp today to buy a Pit ticket. The "GA Pit" was not even an option. Other fans were able to get GA Pit tickets for Coldplay concerts in other venues last week and today, as long as they bought early around 10am. What happened? Is Live Nation auctioning these tickets or what? Response (Devynn)03/25/2009 09:46 AM Dear Patron, Thank you for contacting Live Nation Customer Care with your inquiry! Pit tickets were available on 3/23 at 10:00am with the rest of the tickets. I am sorry if they had all been purchased when you attempted your sale. Unfortunately, this was avery popular event and all the Pit tickets sold very quickly. Please respond to this e-mail if we can be of further assistance regarding this or any other inquiry. Sincerely, Devynn Live Nation Customer Care "The tickets were available at 10am." Yeah, right  Goodnes gracious, that actually made me laugh. I think scalpers grabbed them, and others were given to the radio station, season ticket holders, or Live Nation VIP members. THIS TRULY SUX!
  5. Live Nation has the funniest music to wait for a representative. I'm waiting as I write.
  6. Hi John, we already met, but I wanted to reply to Violetsparks Oh my, he's classy and hot :bomb:
  7. Sorry for so much ranting :( Anywho, I filled out the application to volunteer with Oxfam, from whom I won't get a notification 3 weeks before the concert. I hope they pick me :bomb:
  8. Those sections as well, which make up the "Orchestra" section. The best I got was Section 7 in Tampa, which right behing Section 3 in the orchestra. Sure, this Sec 3 only has 10 rows, so I'm technically on Row 17, BUT still, I would have prefered a General Admission PIT ticket, I don't care if I had to stand in line for hours the day of the concert
  9. THIS IS WHAT ANNOYS THE HECK OUT OF ME! HOW CAN THEY BE SOLD OUT IF THEY NEVER OFFERED THEM ON THE WEBSITE!? Oh, and the woman couldn't tell you cuz she's dumb like that. Seriously, this girl on the "Tickets: availability, price, etc." wrote yesterday that she got Ticketmaster to upgrade her seats at no charge. She says the first 2 times she talked to women, and the third time to a guy, and the customer service guy was the one who solved her problem. Yeah, 100% sure that brokers have these. What happens is that the venue (well, the seating area) is small in itself Therefore, the pit venue is small so there must be a certain amount of tickets available.
  10. Yes, the venues that have PIT had pit tickets available. In some cases, they sold out in an hour, like in Indianapolis and Pittsburgh. In the other venues, they sold out in an day or two (Atlanta, Connecticut, upper NY) What upsets me is that is CLEAR that there IS a Pit, but LiveNation did not made them available to the public at all. I'm talking about this concert, and the Tampa concert WTF!!!????
  11. Well, that was easy... Please contact Live Nation Customer Care either by email at [email protected] by phone at 888.598.4299. We will be able to review your options with you at that time. We encourage email communication for faster handling, but all email requests must be made prior to the day of the event. The hardest part is to call them, be patient, and demand an answer!
  12. ^I;m going to look up their Customer Service number...
  13. Doubt it, Pit tickets were not made available for sale. I have been complaining to Live Nation about it
  14. Yep, we are. Anywho, I dropped the classes. I guess it's for the best. Need to have summer as open as possible. Thesis will drive me crazy :P I have to go to bed now, bye!
  15. Class Permit: piece of paper given to student by academic advisor to be able to register for a class that has limited seats or requires to complete pre-requisites before taking it.
  16. I know, I'll take it back eventually. I took French 1 during the summer (6 weeks), and it was fine. arrgh, moments like this make me hate having to do a thesis
  17. Sorry, was signing up for Fall classes, just to realized that I need permits for two of them :dozey: Yeah, I'm going to Tampa for sure. Section 7 is actually closer than you think, right after the orchestra sections, and besides the VIP boxes. I'm like on th 17th row
  18. I just did something crazy, I signed up for Italian I and II for the summer term It's gonna be so expensive :stunned: What am I thinking!??
  19. I was born in Maracaibo, but I lived in a smaller city an hour away, where the oil production takes place. Weirdly enough, I never had the strong accent that people from Maracaibo have, nor use the "vos" much. And whatever maracucho accent I did have has pretty much diminished. My cousins were surprised last time they visited us. Oh, but I do have an accent when I speak English, people used to tell me it was funny. I dunno why they don't tell me that anymore, I guess is less noticeable now  I liked it, I sounded like Fez from "That's 70 Show" :P
  20. Oh, you could go to Spain to learn by immersion  Yum, Spanish guys and their accent! :wideeyed: I should do that to learn Italian, go to Italy! :D
  21. So you probably started learning English in kindergarten when you were 5, right? I want to do that with my kids. Only Español at home! My cousin, who lives in Ft. Lauderdale, gets upset with her husband when he speaks in English to their son. She's like "he can speak English at school, speak only in Spanish to him please" Still, my aunt (the kid's grandma) speaks Spanish, so my lil' cousin has no choice :P Plus, it's so cute when he talks to me in Spanish on the phone :nice:
  22. Thankies! :nice: Well, the neighbor should have set his network private :dozey:
